Fantastic news for the health of women in Uruguay.

NO-ONE at all has ANY right to dictate to a women about having an abortion, it is after all HER BODY.

Of course Vasquez suspended the law the last time he was President and says he will do it again BUT not because HE disagrees, but because his wife is an ardent RCC goer and apparently he did a deal with the Chief RCC Liar in MVD the last time around to gain their support.

FUCK the Chief Liar and Mrs. Vasquez should think about the children violated by the despicable 'priests' of the RCC before bending the ear of hubbie about what happens to other women.

    Good news indeed......
But I have to correct the Turnip at (1)

EVERY government on Earth dictates women about having abortions....
    Some forbid them entirely....
Others permit them if the mother's life is at risk......
Some permit them during the first 12 weeks of gestation.....
Other few permit ithem until the 18-22 weeks of gestation.....
Any provoked abortion over the 24 weeks limit would be considered manslaughter in most of the planet.

    @2 I Don’t Think-------

You also do not read it seems.

I said “NO-ONE at all has ANY right to dictate to a women about having an abortion” and I believe that.

It doesn't stop the majority of countries interfering though – but that does not mean it is right.

Regretably Vasquez is going to veto the law again despite the Uruguayo people on the premise that “we have to do things without looking at politics” and he is a politician AND a despicable person if he goes ahead with that.

    Turnip at (3)

    Soooo.....

In your world, a woman has, in principle, the right to use, for example, a “razor sharp flick knife” to end a pregnancy until the 36 week of gestation?

You are a greater psycho than I thought.....

#4 thinkless.......did you assume that or can you show me where Chris said that? No wonder a good portion of SA is in chaos. Thinklessness like yours.

It should be a really good medical reason for an abortion. Shouldn't be the first method of birth control like many use.

@6 You being a doctor of course. Or do you just cause widespread pregnancies?

Think is of course being selective with his words and I have never said anything like that, nor would I.

The real topic back two years almost was when argie thugs set fire to tyres and British flags and were attempting to cause mayhem outside the British Embassy if I remember correctly. They are so brave they put their OWN children in the front line to stop the police, not that the argie police ever do anything.

One of the argies posted that no-one dare touch them or even approach them, to which I replied something like 'I carry a razor sharp flick knife and these pussies would not even notice that I had slashed their throats'. Nor of course would they as the knife went from the right carotid artery to the left: it would shut them up of course and they would be dead within the range of 2 - 5 minutes depending on things like shock factor, heart rate and the amount of blood they had.

I carried a flick knife in the UK until they were totally banned because if you are holding something with one hand that you need to cut how do you open a standard clasp knife?

When I came to Uruguay and was told it did not matter what type of knife you had as long as you used it within the law I bought another one. I never use any knife that is not sharp: blunt knives cut you.

Think of course has lost the argument when he spouts lies and especially foul lies. I am not at all surprised he says things like this he must be really dismayed and bitter that his life has turned out as it has and the wealthy side of his family appear to have disowned him.

    Still, never mind eh!

I never thought you did. I just hate when they selectively take extremes and believe they are making a point regardless how unrealistic what they say is.

Beware with that flick knife, we wouldn't want you to upset a gaucho with a facón...
About the abortion law, Vazquez can't veto it, it has already passed. What you saw now was a call for a referendum, which obviously was not heard.
You'll love Vazquez, but he took a thorn with this one and people are wanting Pepe to stay. Topolansky?
Nah, Vazquez will get it, don't you think?

I have a fair number of friends now and NOT ONE of them wants Pepe to stay, plus as I said before the man is not well. I DO like his comments about Uruguayo being “loafers” and you never see an overworked Uruguayo! Ha, ha.

Let me get this right: are you saying that ANY law not passed but agreed by the representatives can be vetoed by the President?

On the basis that Lucy is a argie arse licker (I read her article) and Vasquez ignores TMBOA and wanted the US to help kick the argies off the International Bridge, then it has to be Vazquez!”

BTW facón would not be a naughty word would it? The only thing that gauchos have round my way is his hat, whip, chaps (some have), horse (plus spare at times) and perhaps a working dog(s).

    (10) Stevie….

If Mr. ChrisR was foolish enough to ever duel one of our Gauchos…… his chances would be as big as Borges's Dahlmann in “The South”…….

This is a difficult thing to legislate for. I agree with the principle that a women's body is hers to do as she sees fit, however, 30 million female foetuses have been aborted in Southern India in the last 15 years. They now have so few women there that human trafficking of women in India is their most prevalent and serious crime.

@12 I Don't Think aka The Suicide In Waiting (yes you have been demoted to an old tag that you earned for another stupid post)

You are like an old whore aren't you? Never had a good life, just shagged for a living and despising her lost chances. In reality she blew her chances when she became a whore: just like you blew it when you became The Whore of The Dark Country and took the pesos of TMBOA, herself now the two Yuan whore of the Chin.

Old, bitter and shagged out, what an edifying spectacle and how typical of the Peronista 'promise' and Argentina in general. Ha, ha, ha.

BTW you don't duel, if you have any sense you don't give the bastard a chance. That goes for any fight in life.

    13 Britworker
I know that The Dark Country does not value its' citizens, and frankly I most certainly do not value the 12 - 15M Peronistas, they are the scum of the earth. The Argentines however are none of that.

But they don't abort / kill newborn girls just because their society does not value them and we are discussing Uruguay which is among the best, if not the best, of SA countries when all other things are considered.

    Chris
Oh you can duel in Uruguay. Indeed you can. Legally and everything.
Facón is, according to Fontanarrosa, a “palabra grave”, although some people would argue it being llana, hence the acentuation.

About the law, no, it can't. Pepe had the chance to veto it, which he obviously didn't. Vazquez has nothing to say on the matter anymore.

A duel between Anglo Boogie, el aceitoso and our vernacular Inodoro Pereyra!!!
My money on Inodoro's verijero, hoja arbolito, mango de palo ;-)

    hahaha Think!
Pereyra wouldn't even have to draw his facón, but merely watch the boogieman hurt himself.

    “Que lo parió”

Read it again: “you don't duel, if you have any sense you don't give the bastard a chance. That goes for any fight in life.

I will make it easier for you and the ”argie suicide to be“ understand it: when it comes to any fight in my life, I do not duel, I kick the bastard in the balls as he is walking up to the line and stomp on his head while he hits the floor and if he is still moving I stand on his neck.

    It's never failed me yet.

Got the gist of it you ”jokers”

You would not get past Mendieta Chris, lets be honest...

Oh dear an argie footballer, or a Paraguayan footballer, just have to puncture their balls then. BTW I wouldn't be trying to get past him I would be suckering him to come to my best strike side.

Perhaps my brand new, hand-made 2/3rd scale 10.5 in bladed Bowie knife (not quite razor sharp as it needs a 20 degree inclusive angle to withstand bone strikes) would do the job?

Best Sheffield carbon steel with a UYU hardwood for the square, mica bedded scales, together with a beautiful brass hilt.

Just say “oh fuck, that hurts”, as it goes from the front of you to the back, taking your spine out with it. But, I forget, argies don't have spines, do they?

You really have no idea have you?

I have no idea? Mendieta is Pereyras companion, dear Chris...
