Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy said he hopes for dialogue with Britain soon regarding Gibraltar, but added that until talks take place his government would continue to consider unilateral measures to defend Spanish interests. He said the country will take “all legal measures” to protect its interests in Gibraltar. Read full article

Aug 10th, 2013 - 06:35 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The PP have been banging on about abandoning the three way dialogue and including their regional government as an 'equal party' - in practice there ar three governments involved in any discussions with the Spanish one representing Andalusia. What irks them is that they do not want to accept that Gibraltar has an equal say to them in any discussions and wish to relegate it to a lower status. In the same way that Gibraltar refused to attend bilateral talks as an observer where things could be agreed over its head, this new proposal is not going anywhere and Rajoy is pretending to be 'reasonable'. Hague, Cameron and Picardo are not fooled.

Aug 10th, 2013 - 06:46 pm - Link - Report abuse 0*11 fooled they have been: The Spanish government had carefully planned the trap: 1) piss off Picardo so that he throws those blocks into the water.
Aug 10th, 2013 - 08:02 pm - Link - Report abuse 02) The Spanish pretend they are angry and put up a toll for the reason to discourage spanish drivers from filling up in Gib.
3) With the toll Spanish drivers no longer see the need to cross over into Gib.The money now stays in Spain from the drivers filling up in Spain and on top of that they are making more money from the toll.
4) The Gib government has now lost thousands fo Spanish customers and to make it worse its citizens will now have to leave 50 pounds on the Spanish border.....Those blocks of concrete must be a huge weight on Picardo concious who has been out smarted by the Spanish government.
It ALL COMES DOWN TO MONEY... remember that.

@14 You're quite right! 10,000 more Spaniards out of work. And Gibraltarians go to Morocco instead. 10,000 more unemployment benefit payments. Will that be 10,000 more Spanish families on the breadline. Begging on the streets. Pimping their daughters and wives. Perhaps their sons as well! Oh, and those concrete blocks are in British Gibraltar Territorial Waters. Territorial waters that have legally existed since at least 1958. But then the Spanish, like argies, are thick. And pathetic.
@16 Please. It's either Britain or the United Kingdom. Not England.

How very 18th century.
The Argentinean expansionists start a petition of Argentineans in response to the Falklanders' referendum, the Spanish expansionists hijack a newspaper poll on Gibraltar, and they both see these as victories!!! Anyone spot another theme here: they don't seem to grasp democracy. I'm getting the feeling these two are one in the same, and Argentineans are just a population not a distinct people. I wonder what that means for their self-determination?
Maybe that is why they really keep turing up at the C24...
'PLEASE, PLEASE...we can't run our own affairs, can we be ruled from Madrid?'

@28 Gibraltar does not get electricity from Spain. But this is just a distraction from the collapse of the economy and the PP being caught on the take. However if they want to tear up the Cordoba agreement Spain nees to repay the hundreds of millions of pounds given to Spanish pensioners who never made contributions due to Franco having a spat and closing the frontier - which was supposed to bring Gibraltar to it knees. it didn't work.

Unknown to the majority of the British public, the flag was borrowed from the Genoese fleet. The reasoning was that the Genoese fleet was very powerful and it meant that it would deter pirates from attacking ships with the flag.

WIKI:
Does but in 1188, red and white crosses were chosen to identify the French and English troops in the Kings' Crusade of Philip II of France and Henry II of England, respectively. Together with the Jerusalem Cross, the plain George's Cross became a recognizable symbol of the crusader from about 1190, and this from Encyclopædia Britannica:
”The origin of the flag, its association with St. George (the patron saint of England), and its adoption by England all lack thorough and clear documentation. At the Church of St. George in Fordington, England, there is a sculpture of St. George on a horse leading the Crusaders to victory at the Battle of Antioch (June 1098); his flag bears a cross. It is known that English Crusaders used a red flag with a white cross about 1189. Another record, dating from 1277, attests that a red Cross of St. George on white was used for pennants flown by the troops of King Edward I. The same flag, referred to as the Banner of Victory, was early shown in artistic representations of Christ; the flag was only later attributed to St. George in his role as patron saint of soldiers. Some evidence suggests that a flag of this design flew on English ships in the late 13th century. As part of the Union Jack and various other British flags, the Cross of St. George today continues to play an important symbolic role, although when England and Scotland joined to form Great Britain in 1707 their flags lost individual international status. ”

There is a referendum on Scottish Independence next year -whilst unlikley at present opinion rates to succeed - even if it does I have no doubt that all those who have moved up there from England since birth will be welcomed to stay if they wish.
Ulster does not and never has said that! A minority group in Ulster wants to unite with the Irish Republic - they do NOT actually want to throw out the majority of Ulstermen from their homeland!
Wales- you are abit out of date! The Sons of Owen used to set fire to some English owned holiday homes in the 1960s and 70s I agree - but today the great majority of Welsh are quite happy with their own Parliament and Govt.

You are welcome...
I said to the Spaniards. On the day they want to sink the British fleet just tell us. And if they go to war for Gibraltar, we went too. And we take our friends from Asia, Oceania, Latin America and Africa. If they ask for help to the United States we ask for help to Russia and China. I just hope that the British Gibraltar return it before that.

Sorry to be a pain, I know you do get a lot of attention on here (we know you do love it though!), but your definition of an argentine Sepoy would be oh so enlightening to all of us 'turnips' on here. Don't be shy now; no more youtubing now!

Neither Admiral Nelson could defend. South America and Iberia countries belong to Rome, England belong to saxons. Barbarians against Rome!

Aug 11th, 2013 - 02:09 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Belong to Rome?
Rome is finished, and has been finished since the 1st Protestants began questioning their 'interpretation' of the Bible, their blatant breaking of the 10 commandments, and their greed.
Now we know that the Roman Churches greed is still there, and is their blatant abuse of children too. The Catholic Church is a diseased ridden corpse that someone has forgotten to bury. It's stench is vile.
Perhaps is is the Barbarians against Rome, but the Barbarians defeated the Roman Empire, defeated the Rome based Church, and Nelson defeated the Spanish and more than one occasion.
The Spanish have never held sovereignty of Gibraltar.
The British and Dutch seized it from the Kingdom of Castile, and then more than 10 years later the Kingdom of Spain ceded Gibraltar to the British in perpetuity.
So it will be interesting to see if the International Court of Justice (that's where sovereignty disputes should be settled), would give Spain sovereignty AGAINST the wishes of the people who live there.
I'll give you a little hint - they can't as it would be against international law, and Spain knows it.
Just like Argentina knows it.
So instead of behaving like adults and following international law, they behave like spiteful children.
But it is the people of Spain that will suffer. Gibraltar has lived through Spain's little 'spats' before, and they will again.
And everything the Spanish have done has been illegal, and they may find that if they continue, all that lovely money that they rely on from the EU may be suspended until they follow the rule of law.
So it's a lose/lose situation for Spain, and a win/win situation for Gibraltar.

Sepoys operate below the radar, subversively spoiling things for Argentinians. None of these problems are Argentineans fault. It's all the English!

Aug 11th, 2013 - 05:33 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Historically, the majority of Protestant settlers in present-day N.Ireland were Scottish Presbyterians rather than English Anglicans by about 5:1. As amusing as the deflection was in the above comments, can anyone name one single advantage or gain that Spain has gotten so far?
Aug 11th, 2013 - 06:14 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Because by following the same play book as the Malvinistas, it has had the exact same result.
Nothing!
If anything, Spain is actually entrenching the exact opposite of what it wants.
Gibraltar (and the UK) play the long game as recently shown by Gibraltar's successful 14 year bid to join UEFA. Spain in its emotional and hyperbolic ways threatened to pull teams out of UEFA. Did they?
The only result I have seen in the past couple of weeks is that the Spanish government knows how easy it is to deflect their population's short attention span. Just wait for Catalonia's vote.
@108 Anglotino
Aug 11th, 2013 - 07:01 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I believe this will eventually blow over personally. The blocks have been dropped in the harbour and won't be lifted. Charging and counter charging at the border will just get messy for everyone.
Not sure how much clout the local fishermen have (lets face it Spanish fishermen don't have great PR anywhere in the world), but have read the local Guarda Civil are been harassed at home and even getting death threats - not from the Gibs, but form the locals in La Linea; hence they are requesting reinforcements if the searching of all cars starts again.
Says a lot about how this is just smoke from Madrid: deflection again.
@109 FI_Frost
Aug 11th, 2013 - 07:38 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I agree. The only actual result so far is that Gibraltar has gotten what it wants: to stop Spanish fisherman.
All Spain has done is show how powerless it is to influence decisions and actions by Gibraltar.
The world was a different place 20 or 30 years ago. The idea of transferring populations and land between countries has fallen out of favour. Gibraltar doesn't cause any issues for the UK so there is no pressure to change the status quo.
However should Catalonia declare full independence from Spain then it would be the death knell for Spain's claim to Gibraltar.
I have to let out a bit of a giggle when Brasiliero tries to write English, it is so childlike you are as vampires hehe ,ooops another giggle coming on.

l went to high school in Australia & lived there a number of years afterwards.
He may have picked up a bit by now, but when l first encountered him/her(pretty sure its a him), he didn't know very much about Australia & didn't know the idioms & slang.
He claims to be from Melbourne, where l lived, but his knowledge of that city was abysmal.
l originally thought that he was an Argentine troll but going by the content of his posts, think that he is more likely to be Spanish.
And quite possibly did spend some time in Australia.

2) you didn't know the name of Australia's Governor-General, did you?
ln fact you didn't even know that Australia had a GG.
You kept referring to Australia's Governor.
3)Only the older people say sheila now. The younger people of my generation say chick.
l could go on but whats the point?
l have a very good ear for accents & idioms etc & l KNOW that you are not Australian.

Aug 12th, 2013 - 07:19 pm - Link - Report abuse 0For those that are actually based in Argentina, it is hard to now miss the lack of growth and the 30% inflation. There are only so many trinkets you can buy with your pesos before they devalue too much and now they just watch their weekly wage get smaller and smaller.
The look at around at the crumbling infrastructure or damage by floods or blown up apartments and then hear about how good their family and friends who live in other countries have it.
As for those that don't actually live in Argentina well even they can't twist their current place of residence into a hell hole like Argentina is becoming.
What I can never understand is why so many people lie about their origins and location. I can't fathom being that ashamed.

I think it's because they are being paid. The lies are constructed, they can't deviate, they can't 'back down'.
What is most telling, is the 'lack' of content.
It convinces me they are liars and paid to do so.
NEVER a bad word about CFK, Timerman, Maximo, et al.
Think and pals are born cynics, they would rip into anyone who made their lives difficult or 'non-fulfilling'. They absolutely MUST have a vested interest in the current government - paid or a 'share' in the ill-gotten gains.
Opposition figures are always branded as 'criminals' or corrupt, or doomed to failure, , but never anything about the current government's failed policies, missing money, election funding, currency control - they always follow the public propaganda of CFK, resolutely.
Fervently Patriotic, or even Nationslistic, is one thing, but if your life were going down the toilet and others were not, wouldn't you want a change of who manages your affairs?

Blah blah blah still nothing new. Still not really gaining any traction though is it. So keep trying.

PMSL! Really?
A girlfriend? Well I thought about it but then I realised that coming out of the closet AGAIN would just be plain annoying and then she would probably get upset and then I'd feel sorry for her and have to assure her that it is me and not her.
So I thought I'd much prefer to tear yet again another sock off some foreigner's hand.

I actually think its's quite flattering and awesome. My country is so great that people have to login here and pretend that they come from here.
Think about it. I pissed someone off so much that they had to create a character and then spend hours of their time in character assassination attempts.
If that isn't a true definition of getting up someone's nose then I don't know what is.

Troy
Aug 13th, 2013 - 07:54 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I know. Don't get me wrong there are skills involved in it but you have to question the logic and emotional reasons.
Anyone trying to pretend to be Aussie keeps failing because they make the same mistakes. They assume that our version of English is the same as others.
While Heisenbergcontext and True Blue are obviously sock puppets, Aussie sunshine isn't. Probably a Spaniard that studied here for a while. His punctuation, spelling and word order reminds me of reading my Colombian flatmate's writing. Having been to Oz probably sets him apart from the droll inhabitants of his one donkey town.
While True Blue's English is perfect (though he rarely uses contractions like an Australian would), his ability to understand and use Australian colloquialisms isn't.
He's obviously created just for me. A change of tactics to offensive instead of the defensive and give out as little info as possible.
But he failed:
en.mercopress.com/2013/07/23/falklands-send-message-of-congratulations-to-the-royal-family
Here are SOME of the words I used that he didn't pick up on (Australian term in brackets):
downtown (CBD)
janitor (cleaner)
Capitol Hill (Parliament House)
congressman (Member or parliamentarian)
Burger King (Hungry Jacks).
But then he goes as uses these:
confuses England with Britain
ghetto - no equivalent we don't use the term
eyelids sinking? - you ever had sinking eyelids?
native Australian - which would be a plant here
rednecks - another Americanism
britishism - now he is just making words up
organization - really? next as a true blue aussie he'll be using harbor and color.
But his biggest giveaway is his failure to understand how Australia's national identity came about and how recently it was formed. He has tendency to view Federation as some sort of independence moment from Britain without realising it was far from it. We had British passports till the 1940s!
And like Heisenbergcontext he stuffs up the time.

Aug 13th, 2013 - 10:10 pm - Link - Report abuse 0For these individuals or clones, as the case may be, I'm sure you're correct.
What an effort to go to!
I could understand it once, a ploy to make it look like some 'objective thinkers' or 'fellow Brits' were not onboard with the defence of the Fslklands, and in Dame Dover's case, to undermine the cause, create sedition and in-fighting amongst us.
I don't understand why they bother now. They are easily rumbled by true Nationals, the facade takes some effort in order to be superficially believable, and there is so little return.
In fact, I'm starting to think they're really a bit half-hearted about it now, just going through the motions :-)
Some of them even get a bit knotted when we expose them, or insult and laugh at their attempts at feeble lies. A_Voice, for all his flippancy, really appears to be gritting his teeth.
Chuckled at his attempt to stop us collaborating or accusations of multiple ID's.

What True Blue has failed to realise because he skims the news to attempt authenticity, is that Tony Abbott was born in the UK!!!!
Also pommie out? Sounding awfully Spanish suddenly. Pommie is an adjective and the noun is Pom.
Pommie out is a mistake I would expect someone learning English to make.
But then poor old True Blue had to go out his foot in it with his next comment:
Anglo pommie bastard you are still as dull as ever and you have no sex appeal. What makes you think that a pommie bastard like you knows anything about Australian English. Pommie out!
Anglo? Not a English term really. It's what Spanish speakers call things English. As for my knowledge of Australian English..... seems to be more than poor True Blue who can't spot Americanism unless I tell him.
Pommie out indeed! LOL Confusing an adjective and a noun in an insult no less. And to repeat it four times. Actually when you say it out loud it sounds like a Chinese speaking English and forgetting to pluralise something.

2 What are the names of the two streets that make the intersection?

4. Behind the band there is a wall that belongs to a building, what is that building used for?

Aug 14th, 2013 - 05:23 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Finally someone who knows how to prove I'm a Melbournian. You could have chosen something more difficult though.
1. ACDC or Accdacca as they are nicknamed are playing in Melbourne.
2. The two streets that intersect are actually three. They are playing in the old City Square bounded by Collins, Swanston and Flinders Lane.
3. The main road in front is Swanston Street. It dead ends in the north at the Melbourne Cemetery and south it becomes St Kilda Road which eventually becomes Nepean Hwy which heads down into Mornington Peninsula. Probably finishes at Sorrento or Point Nepean. What Googe Maps probably won't show you is that a new tram superstop has just been built in front of it, so now it is blocked to all traffic except trams and bikes.
4. The wall behind is the Regent Theatre. Can you believe they wanted to knock it down once? You can't see it any longer because of the Westin Hotel that was built on one half of the old City Square. Currently King Kong is showing at the Regent. I go past every day on a tram.
Couple of other buildings you can see are the Town Hall, Manchester Unity Building, St Paul's Cathedral and Flinders Street Station. At the 2.05 minute mark Flinders Street Station looks very lonely because there's no apartment towers behind it and you can't even see the ORIGINAL Arts Spire.
I never doubted that you lived here. Now my proof is beyond doubt.

Obvious, amateurish, and transparent attempt to draw out Anglotino into some sort of self-satisfied smug admission??
Give up, puppet. The Blue Fairy is never going to turn you into 'a real boy'!
You're very caustic but not so witty these days - P O'd or what???

I love the way he insults and accuses and then slinks off, telling us he has left - actually running away and sulking becuz he lost
:-D
And yet A_Voice never highlights where my mistakes in English are.
Aug 16th, 2013 - 11:04 pm - Link - Report abuse 0But I do love the emotive reaction I seem to bring out in so many on here.
The Argie Trolls and their puppets post the wrong information, tell lies, and assume multiple identities in an attempt to deceive or mis-direct the Brits and Falklanders, not to mention the general public and other posters.
Aug 16th, 2013 - 11:32 pm - Link - Report abuse 0It's not surprising that one cannot keep track of 'every' faker.
A_Voice, a puppet himself, does his best to sow doubt about who is who, and makes very vague allusions to puppetry.
However, he never actually puts his credibility on the line by being specific and saying, so and so is a puppetmaster, who runs puppet so and so, and puppet so and so, etc.
Sorry, A_Voice since you are unwilling to say, or don't have a clue about who is who, I guess we are stuck drawing our own conclusions.
Or, perhaps 'playing' you as well :-)
Sincerely,
Troy Tempest,
a puppet

I lived with him for a while in Airdrie and have only seen BC, Alberta and a bit of Quebec so far.
Money laundering is so passé. I much prefer the whole become a ruler, build a massive vault in my house and just pilfer the poor tax payers by the literal truckload.
I lived and worked in Alberta for a number of years in the 80's. I have passed through Acme.

A_Voice should know. He used to be a thick cotton sport sock, but now his elastic is worn out and he has a hole in the toe that is irritating him.

You are so predictable.....I knew the only part of my post that would bother you was that......
That's your problem, are you at college presently? Playing catch up?
You suffer from a lack of basic education....
What are the odds of three puppets and one master making the same basic primary school mistake, on the same thread and all claiming to be from Australia?
Quite high I would imagine.....I'll let you think about that!
You are certainly consistent and too late to correct......it's all there....pretend to be who you want it makes no difference.
You love playing the prima donna, but that goes with the turf doesn't it!
Live and let live is what I say.....I enjoy what you reveal about yourself, you have defined every single 'hang up' that you have by using your puppets.....do carry on!

You're a liar and a mealy-mouthed bitter one at that.
Sorry, you're lacking character and you will never be 'in' the club, no matter how much you want to be.

Car comment.......I remember odd things people say.....

Aug 17th, 2013 - 06:59 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Calm down mate!
It's just an anonymous forum. Wow you really get you knickers in a knot.
I'm not at college. This is one of these linguistic differences that I keep highlighting to show up the fake Aussies. I'm at uni.
Playing catchup? Hardly. I'm finally studying something I love: architecture and urban design. I've decided to do a career change. I currently work 34 hours per week, have 12 contact hours and massive amounts of homework.
My background has been consistent since day 1 on here and I have always been open to answering any questions that will still protect my anonymity. I've narrowed down where I live to within a kilometre, named suburbs where I work, my ethnic background and where I study. Hell I'll even tell you one of the classes I'm studying this semester. Google 'unimelb ENVS10007'.
A_Voice if you want to think I create sockpuppets, then go ahead. However you haven't given one good reason why. Or proof!
Heisenbergcontext's biggest chat buddy and supporter on here was Think.

As for True Blue. Who is obviously John III (Pope) by his FAIL at Post 203. This guy has also been around for months and ignored me until recently.
Your logic doesn't add up. Also you have totally failed to enunciate a single commonality between them and me.
Not one!
BTW: I do LIKE hard dicks. But unlike you I don't feel the need to continually talk about them on here.
So here's your challenge:
What are the odds of three puppets and one master making the same basic primary school mistake, on the same thread and all claiming to be from Australia?
Well what is it? Simple question. Your chance to finally show me up. There's half a dozen people on here that would jump at this chance but you won't. Why?
Anglotino
Aug 17th, 2013 - 10:09 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I can just picture you patting little A_Voice on the top of the head as you tell him to calm down, mate LOL!!
Voice has nothing more to offer than personal insults - a sure sign he's full of sh!t about those puppets.
Oh, how he hates to lose face :-)
I saw a film today, Elysium, about the disparity between the very poor Masses, and the very privileged living conditions, health care, etc. of the very very wealthy - literally unreachable by the common people.
Interestingly, the interior sets of wealthy buildings were all shot here in British Columbia.
The exteriors were shot in the present day Villa Miserables of Mexico, to represent the squalor and filth of the regular citizens. It was worse than anything I saw in Cuba, looked as bad as Lima, and I expect BA is going that way.
Golly, almost forgot, thanks for coming to the rescue!
Voice certainly pays you and I special attention - I think he's just secretly enamoured :-)
Troy
Aug 18th, 2013 - 02:32 am - Link - Report abuse 0Don't mention it. A_Voice is definitely fixated on us. If there is one thing he is not fixated on, it's usually the actual article. He usually just swoops in and deflects the topic onto whatever he feels more confident with. But nothing sounds as sweet as A_Voice has left the building.
But he does need to calm down. The more agitated the more full stops. Lol.
I also saw Elysium last night. Supposedly for Australians there's a moral about our treatment of asylum seekers coming here by boat. While I knew about the Mexico filming I wasn't aware of the Canadian. But I have higher hopes for places like Mexico, Colombia etc than I do for Argentina and Venezuela. The difference between pragmatic electorates and ideological electorates I guess. Some countries are taking the Chilean route with politics oscillating around the centre and others see the centre as right wing. I'm still undecided about Brazil. It could go either way.
A_Voice.
What are the odds of three puppets and one master making the same basic primary school mistake, on the same thread and all claiming to be from Australia?
Well if you were as eagle-eyed as you think you are you would realise that John Pope claims to be Chinese not Australian. Second Aussie Sunshine doesn't claim to be Australian. He admits to living in Spain.
I haven't made any mistakes. I don't even need to check my posts. There is nothing there. At least my accusations are backed up. Yours are fluff! It hasn't worked. Not once. I use the grammar, vernacular and spelling of Australia. Though you attempt to besmirch me, my education shows through in my articulation and ability to argue. I can easily prove I am in Melbourne whereas you just obfuscate to create as small a target as possible.
That's fine by me coz I'm big, loud and always a target. And that gets right up your nose.
I again challenge you as I did before. But I know you can't. Your house is built on sand! Mine on rock!
So sit there & take what I give you!
Anglotino
Aug 18th, 2013 - 10:29 am - Link - Report abuse 0Nice summation.
Did you notice that a_voice is so ticked off, that he is now using his special powers to check up on me?
@255 a_voice
I know you have already been searching the posts,
and of course, there is always his underlying inferiority complex.
but you don't have an English education you are just a wannabe.....wannabe part of the “Club”.
Sorry, Little voice in the wilderness, you may have a British primary education (ironic isn't it, that you prize something British?), but the door is still shut to you.
Whilst I and many others you feel are less worthy than yourself, are actually British, with passports, families, heritage, and traditions firmly rooted in the UK.
It's quite alright to be other things too, but you seem to be very bitter personally, that you are not included, Wannabe.
Enjoy your weekend and try not to burst a blood vessel.

I could be wrong, but ...
Aug 19th, 2013 - 05:02 am - Link - Report abuse 0I'm pretty sure that Spain did not exist when Gibraltar when the Treaty of Utrecht ceded it to Britain *in perpetuity*.
Was not 'Spain' a lose affiliation of states/regions/nations and NOT an entity in itself?
If so, at least Rajoy is right that Andalucia should be included in the resolution of the Gibraltar issue - because its precursor was the regional power at the time of the ceding Treaty.
Spain did not exist, so should be eliminated.
Britain existed, Gibraltar existed, The Kingdom of Castile (Andalucia) existed.
The discussion about the legality of the Utrecht Treaty should include the participants at the time; those that did not exist might be afforded observer status, but I can see little case for Spain's involvement in this part of the discussion.
....
The British BBC continues to talk about a 'reef' being layed by the Gibraltese across the Bay of Algeceras.
The reality is the dropping of 70 pieces of concrete
... As Churchill would have said Some reef .. Some bullshit!
....
There is absolutely no evidence that the Role of Great Britain as a *Protectorate* of Gibraltar involves protecting.
The BBC has gone out of its way to insist that the frigate anchored there is 'just calling in en route' and is definitely NOT 'protecting'.
So who and what are actually doing the 'protecting'?
This is an internationally recognised responsibility, and required of the UK by law.
Can we expect the Ministry of Defense to assume its responsibility some time soon
.. *to say it is actually Protecting* and
.. raising its game commensurate with the increased level of threat?
