Respect for human life from conception until natural death is something children must be taught, not mainly with words, but by the example of their parents, Pope Francis said. “Parents are called to pass on to their children the awareness that life must always be defended,” Pope Francis wrote in a message to people joining in the Brazilian Catholic Church's celebration of Family Week, which began August 11. Religion trying to force itself on modern society as usual.
Think I may go take a dump after reading that dribble from the pope.

Does that include all the children that have been and are still being abused by Catholic Priests?

Where is the respect for them?

Hypocritical organisation. Best if it disappears altogether.

Here's a better message: “Push your luck and we will kill every one of you. Men, women, children. We have progressed, you haven't. The only available option is extermination”.

I think the only message the ragheads are going to understand is what they want for everyone who is not a Muslim: total annihilation.

Do you really think the muslims respect our society?

If you do please tell me why.

7ChrisR I thank you for your honest question :-)

I think there´s a mainstream belief about how muslism are supposed to be as opposed of how they actually are, and also, as we are divided between ourselves by a number of issues social and religious, I believe they do have those kinds of problems too, more serious even , which I guess is the genesis of a hate among both our societies.

One thing that always surprises me is that we seem to not learn much from history, if we see history we will see countries like Turkey and others muslism countries were the ones to give refuge to various Jewish groups at a time in Europe when they were being persecuted. their communities were formed by ppl from Chirstian, Jewish and Muslism origin.

I confess not to know much about muslism traditions, and the little I know point to some of their communities having a not so good or very poor oppinion of Christians/Catholics in general and Occidentals in particular XD ,which is ironic to me given inside the chirstian community we do this to ourselves too XD . So seems to me the real problem here, more than a personal difference on religious beliefs, comes from mutual ignorance, lack of real cultural/human contact and preconceptions.

I once talked to a friend about her time living in a muslism society, surprinsingly she found our societies shared some of our favourite cultural traits, even when our political systems, societies and religious beliefs are very different.

So I would said, no, I don´t think “their society” ,and here I am generalizing a lot, respect what they know of “ our society” , but “our society” doesn´t respect or even know that much about theirs either, and for me, that´s the real problem here, reason why I support an approach in which there´s respect, human contact and mutual knowledge as opposed to making out assumptions of each society IMO.

    Thank you for that.

You are undoubtedly a Christian by faith and character and of course the Muslim faith comes from the same bible because Muslimism only started in the 7th century in what is now Saudi Arabia.

Those who claim the Koran is a book of peace have never read it. What is more the Koran is not used directly but interpretations by other people that “explain” what is meant are used. Some of these are very hostile to non-Muslims as is the Koran itself.

Regretably, although Christians have developed in the 2000 odd years since the start of Christianity the Muslims are stuck in the 7th century.

It is fair to generalise that in the Middle East the population are uneducated and rely on the “Clerics” to tell them what the Koran “says” and here we have the trouble. Most of these Clerics themselves are uneducated in the real sense of the word and are very similar to the bible Thumpers of America who fervently believe in the literal word of God as given in the bible itself. The fact that the bible is a collection of stories through 4,000 years of existence seems to have passed them by.

There is little doubt that Muslims are becoming more active and militant than they have for centuries and there is a real move for the extermination of Christians (and other religions) that still “infest” Muslim countries (as they see it). You only have to look at Egypt.

I am amazed that you think the Jews are in any way acceptable to the Muslims because nothing could be further from the truth, they are seen as vermin to be exterminated wherever they are found: hence the Israel “problem” which is really a Muslim problem.

“You are undoubtedly a Christian by faith and character and of course the Muslim faith comes from the same bible because Muslimism only started in the 7th century in what is now Saudi Arabia.” Not exactly from the same Bible, muslism religion shares some aspects from the Jewish, Christian and Islam.
“Those who claim the Coran is a book of peace have never read it” I never said Koran was exactly a book of peace, it seems more a book to defend muslim religion from “unbelievers” the way this defense is done varies from the groups inside muslim society as they themselves have differences interpreting it like the chiitas or sunitas. Some indentify this with a duty others just see it as their mission to convert other ppl to Islam.

“It is fair to generalise that in the Middle East the population are uneducated and rely on the “Clerics” to tell them what the Coran “says” and here we have the trouble” Sorry, but here we will have to agree to disagree here, you are not presenting any evidence of this, it seems more an arguement of authority from your part. Curiously enough the little contact I have had with Muslism have been inside academic institutions of scientifical nature in my city. Lest not confuse religious beliefs with education levels because they hardly negate or assure one or another, in most religions knowledge is highly valued, Muslim also indentify their culture and way of life with their religion, something we can see to a point from Jewish ppl and Christians too.

“very similar to the bible Thumpers of America who fervently believe in the literal word of God as given in the bible itself. The fact that the bible is a collection of stories through 4,000 years of existence seems to have passed them by” Thats isn´t being religious, but a fundamentalist different thing.

“I am amazed that you think the Jews are in any way acceptable to the Muslims because nothing could be further from the truth”I am amazed you ignore a part of muslim history XD

I was dismayed by your reply which seems to have gotten off the real point about the Muslim religion which is very simple to understand.

THEY WANT TO KILL YOU: YOU ARE NOT A MUSLIM.

They also want to kill me, I am an atheist. They want to kill anybody who is not a Muslim.

Your experience of Muslims in science is incorrect. They may think they are Muslims but the Koran is VERY clear on this: the teachings of science and other mathematics is prohibited by death.

Rather than you accuse me, incorrectly of ”you are not presenting any evidence of this, it seems more an argu(e)ment of authority from your part” please read the following, one of many sites on the web telling the truth about the history and future as far as Muslimism is concerned:

extremist, fudamentalists muslims killl even other muslim when they don´t agree with them so If I converted I would not be more safe you know.

I am amused by your reply so I will give you that, I have yet to receive any menace from muslim ppl to kill me, in fact what we have really seen so far in the last years is the so called “west” armies oppening fire over ppl of muslim origin in Lybia, afganistan, Irak, etc. And before that, their countries were trapped between a war of Soviet Union/USA/Europe. So maybe, just maybe, recent history kind of tells me that it appears to be the opposite, or at least it could very well tells ppl of muslim origin: “Occident want´s to kill us” , and you keep giving arguments of authority, not facts.

“ sites on the web telling the truth about the history and future as far as Muslimism is concerned:

    www.thereligionofpeace.com/Pages/Myths-of-Islam.htm#science”

Do you know, I learned about Islam history studiying it with books made by proffesional ppl that have been there actually, a page on internet, especially like the one you bring here, hardly can get close to serious pov, because it´s desingned to scare ppl to bring them to their point of view, I have seen similar pages dedicated to “defend” capitalism, leftism, protestantism, etc by being offensive towards the “other group” the “dangerous group” , I even have seen some dedicated to talk of how much me and my country men are a danger to USA XD so excuse me if your page doesn´t impress me.

    Two very simple questions:

    1) how many Muslims are there in your country?

    2) how many terrorists acts have been carried out by Muslims in your country?
