    Is the 'give-them-a-hate-a-day' Daily Mail really pro-Royal? It is pro SOME royals and actively against others. Just sayin'.

    His Royal Highness, Charles, Prince of Wales is an intelligent, considerate and thoughtful man. At the age of 64, he is also immensely experienced and knowledgeable. Back in the 18th and 19th centuries, the then-Prince of Wales was a playboy. Perhaps the Daily Mail would prefer that approach. I am more impressed by a man concerned with the welfare of my country and its people. If the government of the day won't listen to the people, let them listen to their future king.

    Charles is a gibbering idiot and the most likely heir to create a swing towards republicanism.

    I'm neither a republican or a monarchist - the status quo is fine, but if he comes to the throne and starts interfering then he should be kicked out.

    With any luck his mother will outlive him and we'll be spared the madness of King George VII

    The Irish president has to sign off new laws, he can hold off signing into statute & refer to a group of elders for advice & refuse to sign a new law on to the statute books. He can then refer what he refuses to sign off to what in effect is a constitutional court & if it is rejected at this stage the Government would have to go t0 the country to ratify a change to the constitution with a referendum. I think Charles has every right to act on our behalf & ask the questions that need to be heard.

    Don't you get to vote on who your president is?

    It's rather different than a mollycoddled buffoon with a massive green agenda a massive carbon footprint a massive bank balance and a massive mouth trying to press other people to spend their money on nonsense like homeopathy.

    He speaks for himself not his “subjects”

    Can you tell me who said that the royalty are the only brits who cannot debate with 'politicians'?
    Is the Daily Mail the mouthpiece of the peoples of the Nations of the UK?
    No, it is only the opinion of a single man; the editor.

    The Prince of Wales does not operate under the 'constitutional' constraints of the Monarch;
    arguably he will make a better monarch by developing his political perspective - through meeting them and trying to understand the crazy ways of politics.

    6 agree - ANY person resident in UK logically has the right to bend the ear of a politician - then the politician,s choice to take that view on board or not. Its this funny thing called Democracy.
    Having met him - he is no buffoon - an astute businessman in what he does with the Duchy of Cornwall.

    I want to repeat following text from comment (2)....:

    “His Royal Highness, Charles, Prince of Wales is an intelligent, considerate and thoughtful man. At the age of 64, he is also immensely experienced and knowledgeable. No need to add anything to the above....
    Well said.....

    Can't see what the problem is really, he's just substituting one form of plant life for another.

    @11 Daddddeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

    The series was well done (though in The Final Cut, it just didn't feel as fun as the previous ones) and up to that point it was fun being a fellow baddie in cahoots with FU, but in all seriousness... There was a line that one dare not crosse, It's-not-really-King-Charles crossed it and well.. off went his head, figuratively of course this time. Any PM would have had to ask for his abdication.

    The Daily Fail.....sorry.... The Daily Mail ( who's tag line should be “Ooohhh it was so much better when Diana was still alive” ) can report on this story all it likes.... Who gives a f**k WHAT Prince Charles does and soes not do.

    Camer-moron and his little b*tch Nick Clegg have made such a mess of this country in the passed 3 years, they need all the help and advise they can get.

    And the “Pro royal” Daily Fail can stick it up its a*se.

    I think Charles acted despicably towards Diana more or less right from the word go. The “Firm” wanted an acceptable female to breed from and Diana fitted the bill.

    He was shagging the mare Camilla (I do apologise to real horses) from the first year of his marriage thus making adulterers of both Camilla and himself and now we are expected to accept this baggage as our Queen when Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II eventually passes on.

    He hadn’t got the guts to ask Camilla to marry him when they were both young and free and pissed off to sea for three years. He was “dismayed” to learn she had married someone else, loser.

    If this apology for a man does not relinquish the succession, and he won’t because he is an egotist of the first order, then I would not be at all surprised if he is the last of the line.

    The link sets him in exactly the correct way he is perceived by the majority of supporters of the Royalty according to some reports.

    Admittedly an absolute Monarchy would be an improvement over the current form of government in the UK, Big Brother StaSIsm.

    Think - wow - at last we agree on something! Well said - having spent some time with him on his visit here he is a normal decent person - and even persuaded a local retailer friend to import and stock Duchy of Cornwall Biscuits!

    Perhaps that is where the argies are going wrong, they need a few tins of fancy biscuits with three white feathers on them and the islanders would roll over.

    “even persuaded a local retailer friend to import and stock Duchy of Cornwall Biscuits!”

    ...so he was sharking his over priced biscuits that rely on abusing his royal status to maintain sales. Even with his advantage the Duchy Originals brand nearly went under and was sold out to Waitrose.

    Charlie boy believed the DO brand would rival main supermarket chains by the time he became king. He's naïve and deluded.
