Argentine Economy minister Hernán Lorenzino on Wednesday ratified current policies and strongly rejected an increase of budget austerity measures, while defending the debt reduction policy, but admitted the country “still suffers” from consequences of the international financial crisis. Just like our brilliant Rg posters on this board, when they are wrong, really really wrong, they double down.
Aug 15th, 2013 - 08:05 am - Link - Report abuse 0Good luck with that!
As I have been saying when this crashes it will be spectacular, worse than 2001 and take at a minimum a generation to fix.
... Lorenzino pointed out that in emerging countries “expansive tightening” must be totally discarded since any tightening means “cooling the economy and loss of jobs”...
Aug 15th, 2013 - 08:44 am - Link - Report abuse 0Presumably then we are experiencing “expansive tightening” at the moment as our economy is frozen rather than cooling and the pace of rising unemployment is incredible!!!!!!!!!!!
Point is Simon, NEVER again will be follow those murderous northern nations in anything they say. As the saying here now goes, every thing they demand that we do for our sake, do the exact opposite and you'll do well.
Aug 15th, 2013 - 08:57 am - Link - Report abuse 0Toby, Nobody is telling Argentina to do anything. Your leaders are ruining the country just fine all by themselves.
Aug 15th, 2013 - 09:03 am - Link - Report abuse 0In fact every country seems to be ignoring the nutty people who represent you.
My guess is the USA is going to let your country fail spectacularly and let Brazil worry about it. Then use Arg as an example of what happens when you become a rogue nation and scofflaw.
You know it's funny there has been SO little news coverage of this... but the United States has just created the seeds of it's own bloody apocalypse.
Aug 15th, 2013 - 09:10 am - Link - Report abuse 0In the most populated Arab nation, there have been 100s murdered by a military regime who gained power in a PUTSCH. Guess who is supporting openly that regime since the very beginning?
The people on the ground will never forget. The USA has created for itself thousands of little new Osamas, wait in twenty years or so. The USA will be a pool of blood for once again supporting the oppresion of others.
Hernan looks quite pleased with himself. No pesky Greek journalists lurking about, asking uncomfortable questions.

Aug 15th, 2013 - 10:26 am - Link - Report abuse 0You mean like what is the inflation rate in TDC?
OR
Are you still leaving the government?
LOLs
That raised unibrow suggests that no one asked about inflation.

Have you studied anything but useless languages?
Are people that dumb in your country they believe the claptrap you spout?
Gads no wonder the country is in the mess it is.
@5 & 7. Can we look forward to you letting us know when you have no power? Or shall we just wait for the days of silence? When will you let us know that you are trying to eat boots and grass instead of beef and potatoes? Mind you, best to avoid the plastic shoes. Do you have a back garden you can cultivate for food instead of pot? Or are mummy and daddy still paying? Don't be shy. You can tell us. We won't laugh......much. Let us know when you need international aid. And we'll make sure you don't get it. Wouldn't want to accept anything from murderous northern nations, would you? Don't worry, we've noted what you've said. We'll make sure you don't get any food. Don't you think that starving or freezing to death is a good idea? Not that burial will be an issue. You'll probably want to eat any meat left. Don't forget to crack the bones open to get at the marrow. And when we finally come in to clear up the charnel pit, anything left will probably get shovelled into the sea. Being environmentally conscious, we wouldn't want to let killer whales, sharks and the like go without. To let us know if you're still alive, raise two fingers to ensure that you're treated appropriately.

This headline should read:
Aug 17th, 2013 - 06:08 am - Link - Report abuse 0Argentina ratifies economic policy, rejects REALITY to balance the budget.
It doesn't take a financial genius to know that you can't spend your way out of debt. The government could print more Peso's, then you'll have hyperinflation and stagnation, and Argentina will once more disappear up it's own hoop, crying and blaming all the 'big nasty people' out there who wouldn't lend them any money, despite Argentina never paying a cent back.
Me quiero ir! (Hernán Lorenzino)

Aug 17th, 2013 - 12:13 pm - Link - Report abuse 0What Big Nostrils really means is ”The present government is too stupid to study what the successfull northern nations do.
Scandinavia is a success - ignore!, ignore!
Germany is a success - ignore!, ignore!
The Netherlands is a success - ignore!, ignore!
Austria is a success - ignore!, ignore!
Estonia is a success - ignore!, ignore!
The way to Big Nostril success is never to do what the successfull northern nations do.
