Not at all, surely when these 9 students go to the UK the IQ of both countries will get a nice bump.

See, @5 is the difference between me and you.

I can make fun of myself (you can't), AND make you fall into my trap of the obvious joke, all as you missed the more cerebral joke of that response.

And I did all that in one simple sentence.

You people are out of your league with me. That is why this website has two eras:

    B.T
    A.T

    You miss the obvious.

You want so badly to be important that you are duped by your own countrymen.
they smile and laugh at you as they go through your pockets, “TP”.

This should improve the intelligence of RGland by several thousand percent at a stroke, and provide more waiters in the West End

    Win win situation!

British humor is obviously far more crass and unimaginative, isn't it.

Christ, what a culture shock for them. They will meet so many students with integrity, and shock awe, probably meet someone of the opposite sex and never leave the UK, so many opportunities to establish a decent life.

I think it is an amazing idea to provide scholarships to foreign students. It will be a boon to the UK economy is several ways, not least the networking and links that such students will carry through their professional careers.

Nostrils, I suggest you look at applying for things like this. It is clearly obvious that your family has been severely affected by the economic problems in Argentina and this will provide you with a chance to see the world and be a little less parochial in your knowledge and outlook.

As for: “You people are out of your league with me”

And yet I am still waiting after all these months for him to provide a link where he has outargued... indeed won an argument with me.

I am looking into what financial assistance the Argentine government might provide me with if I decide to spend a semester in Argentina as I have been advised to wait for my Masters to do a semester at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá. Argentina is much much cheaper if I can withdraw my Austudy payments as US dollars and not as Argentine Pesos.

A agree with Anglotino. This is your chance to shine, Tobi. Put all the english schoolboys and girls to shame. Show them how smart you are, how stupid they are, and what they and the whole world can learn from you -- or in contrast, you can see if your life is as big of a lie as the Malvanistas here. If you triumph you will show us all up. If you fail, this will be the first step in seeing the world as it really is for you and with the language skills you have, you will be in a far better position to succeed than most of the Argentine trolls. Or are you too afraid that you will fail?

It's very important for the future of the world to provide proper facilities for the education of individuals from undeveloped states. Argieland is an excellent example. It has no real “education” system. Its “centres of higher education” are falling apart and are staffed by road sweepers. Being the most educated individuals they could find. To substantiate this, I would point regular participants to “axel_arg”. This individual professes to be a “geography teacher”. He has conducted a “survey” of the Falklands situation. To do this, he hasn't stirred outside argieland. He professes to explain to his “students” the geo-political situation. Despite the recognition of English as the primary language in many “disciplines”, he's not too good at it. After several years of “communication”. But here's the real “kicker”. He came up with this supposed “survey”. Wouldn't anybody expect a proper academic to find a suitable website and post it? Instead he asked anybody interested to request it by email. Giving him the email addresses of anybody foolish enough to trust an argie. He now appears occasionally to post garrulous, unintelligible garbage. Perhaps it would be useful for him to walk to the UK and see whether he can persuade a UK university to start him at kindergarten-level English. Hey, alex, one year is better than what you get now!

Good luck to those people-if they were Falkland Islanders they would not depend on a foreign scholarship to go to a British University.

Could CFK get a scholarship to get her law degree?

UK students in Argentina might get accosted by Argentine students.

If Argentina offered a few spots on an ARA Libertad training cruise to UK students, would there be any takers? That might work.

Never has a truer word been spoken.

    You are SO right.

There is of course the obvious problem that when these Scholarship winners return to The Dark Country nobody will believe that they have not been mugged, robbed or in the case of the young ladies, raped while they have been in “England”. Just like they would have been treated if they were in BsAs.

Still, I hope and trust that they enjoy the experience, I am sure they will.
