Disclaimer & comment rulesGet the finance sorted and get drilling next year with Premier/Rockhopper et al. You know it makes sense. Pity that YPF do not have the same priorities, no money no drilling.

Argentina celebrates the lost war of 1982 with Malvinas Day every year on the 2nd of April.
Sep 03rd, 2013 - 02:20 am - Link - Report abuse 0#11 Pathetic. Barely a footnote in the history of the Napoleonic wars. Argentina really does seem to have an inferiority complex. Especially funny as Argentina didn't even exist then.
Sep 03rd, 2013 - 02:26 am - Link - Report abuse 0@5 On the subject of cash reserves, just how is Argentina faring at the moment?
Sep 03rd, 2013 - 05:33 am - Link - Report abuse 0A-Hole..What good news would you like?
Sep 03rd, 2013 - 08:40 am - Link - Report abuse 0In 2010 there was only hope that oil, condensate or gas might be found off the islands, and five tiny minnow companies involved.
Now there is a 350million oil barrel discovery, a multi-billion dollar investment by a mid-cap operator Premier oil, and first oil planned before the end of the decade.
There is also a 200-300 million barrel condensate dicovery in the Southern basin and a commitment to drill further by a large American company in partnership with a huge French-Italian partner.
The latin-American boycott on companies operating in the falklands seems not to have held either, with Premier and Noble winning licences in Brazil and Nicaragua, not forgetting the number of rigs provided by Diamond offshore, or the common equipment suppliers etc etc.
CFK has been made to look like the toothless cretin that she is, as her attempts to block the industry have monumentally failed.
Not bad for 3 years work...plenty of excellent news.
If only you took your head out of your A-hole long enough to see it.
@11
Sep 03rd, 2013 - 11:14 am - Link - Report abuse 0As you no doubt celebrate San Martin helping the British in Spain around that time.
But the oil never comes out of the well. It seems to be a shy piece of oil.

Sep 05th, 2013 - 05:20 am - Link - Report abuse 0The oil came out the well just fine. You will find that the flow test produced 9000 barrels per day on a single non-deviated well.
They believe that peak production based on this flow test will be 100,000 barrels per day.
not shy at all...lovely and flowing
@11 Marcos A,
Sep 05th, 2013 - 06:29 am - Link - Report abuse 0Ah yes, Marcos. Unfinished business.
There's always next time!
Are you ready?
@11
Sep 05th, 2013 - 09:29 am - Link - Report abuse 0And you also celebrate the failed attempt to keep the Falkland Islands under a fascist regime in 1982, though why you should celebrate your ass getting kicked is a mystery to me.
