Irrespective of what you think of Cameron, like him or loathe him, it was an incredibly disrespectful thing to do whomever the Prime Minister is.

probably fortunate to be in one of the few countries in the world that he could get away with that.....imagine doing it to Putin!....he'd be beaten within an inch of his life!

I disagree I would not find it amusing to see meaningless disrespect by some thick as pig shit Rugby player to any leader of any country...
A protest fine...but the guy was being honoured by the state and should have shown a little more respect.
It will do him no favours...

Samoans are a happy easy going people, he didn't mean any harm. It was just a spirit of the moment thing and I got a good laugh out of it. So no need to “get your knickers in a knot” as the Brits say.

Expect Cameron saw the funny side of this and Tuilagi is in for a bollocking from the RU, again.

I have to confess to having a chuckle about it myself. I'd imagine that he had a brief hairdryering from someone in the RFU for it, but it's not as if he's jumped off of the back of another ferry because he felt like a swim...

A “take” on the “comments” etc. I was initially inclined to take it as a bit of a joke. I viewed it as the action of a happy-go-lucky juvenile. Then I read the comments and revised my opinion. For the most part, educated human beings seemed to have much the same view. But then I thought of other considerations. “Twitting” an apology isn't real. He should have asked his team manager to contact Downing Street with a view to meeting the Prime Minister and publicly apologising. Then I got to @5 and realised that if something that is neither educated nor a human being could make such a comment the matter is serious. Perhaps Tuilagi should get back in his canoe and paddle home. It's not as though “centres” are hard to find. During his “voyage” he might want to contemplate whether playing a childish “joke” on the Prime Minister of a nation in which he was a guest was a good idea. It might help him grow up.

Bunny ears are the price of standing in the front line the photo. Cameron should have known better you make sure no one is behind you when cameras roll. And the ways things are done the ears were probably a split second among a fast run of photos and of course people are going to look at the one that is cheeky and fun. I rate this brouhaha in the same category as George Bush 1.0 “innocently” did the backwards victory when in Australia when everyone who knows of the guy's background knows he knew exactly what he was doing and were good sports about it.
