By R. Viswanathan (*) - India should take its cue from Brazil and invest in ethanol as a viable commercial substitute for costly petrol. Read full article
India.....or ..and this is just a thought.....Stop having so many bloody children!

Brazil ....not familiar.....I've heard of Brazil nuts.....is that the same place?
I've heard of Brazil nuts.....
Nuts you don't have
India.....or ..and this is just a thought.....Stop having so many bloody children!
Kill yourself, so we have less idiots on planet earth and that thought that Indian people want many childrens will disappear, you filty, ugly eugenist with bad teeth. If people want more children, it's their god given choice!
Brazil is a large country with a lot of land not in use for growing crops. The land brought into production to grow sugar cane to produce ethanol did not take the place of other crops. In fact Brazil is a leading exporter of grain.
India does not have unused land to bring into production for growing sugar cane to produce ethanol. In fact India is a major importer of grain.
The idea of India taking land now used to grow food crops and using that land to grow sugar cane for producing ethanol is crazy.

I really can't be bothered arguing with an idiot like yourself...but you should first understand the meaning of eugenist...Indians don't have any less desirable traits than anyone else.
I was referring to the overpopulation!
India adds up to 1,000,000 people to its population every 15 days...
Factoring in infant mortality, the replacement rate is approximately 2.1 in most industrialized nations...this is the perfect balance to stop overpopulation and depletion of natural resources etc
India is 2.7....Africa is much worse
How is the world going to feed an escalating population...
Is it a god given choice to condemn future generations to starvation and premature death.....
also....
“I've heard of Brazil nuts.....”
Nuts you don't have
I don't have Brazil nuts???
I have no idea what that means....if it is some sort of witticism....it hasn't worked!
I can buy Brazil nuts at the supermarket ....just about anywhere!
I prefer walnuts anyway.....
If India becomes very rich, the '1,000,000 people to its population every 15 days' increment will want food as well as cars.
The much-derided Malthus is right in the sense that the limits to this sort of growth can be accommodated by other nations voluntarily reducing their consumption (the USA) and earmarking their production, trade and aid selectively to India ... otherwise the re-balancing of the Indian population increase equation involves a lot of involuntary population 'decrease'.
India cannot allow the nutrient value of this 'decrease' process to go to waste; recycling in situ must replace the run-off of this fertilizer to the Bangladeshi Ganges delta; the present process is poor economics.

Thanks for the invite. Outside Brasil, I'm a fish out of water. Thanks
Sep 27th, 2013 - 06:07 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Well my car was made in Brazil but cannot operate 100% on ethanol.
Sep 27th, 2013 - 06:34 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The handbook does show that version but apparently not for outside Brazil.
Good job really, ANCAP would want 100% import tax for it.
My car is a Fiat/Idea Adventure.
