Things are somewhat less uncertain with this development, not good news for Argentina at all.

I will be shocked if SCOTUS takes this up and I think 2nd Circut will follow up shortly with their final ruling so this is finally over with a stake in its heart.
well you know how the system work better than I Yankeeboy. It be interesting if IMF undertakes a through audit of all INDEC figures and if all false well...I am sure that will well and truly open the floodgates of further litergation
Oct 01st, 2013 - 07:57 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You are correct Yankee, the WH has more pressing matters to handle. However, SCOTUS only has to ask the WH for a brief as in the past Argentina cases and the WH does not have to respond in a week. They can take months to responds, they are not subject to rule 37 when SCOTUS asks for a brief.
Oct 01st, 2013 - 11:12 pm - Link - Report abuse 0But........in the end, be it next week or a few months, they will not be taking this case in my opinion, especially with pending appeals in NY.
An important feature of this matter is that NO nation is as corrupt and criminal as argieland. Therefore, no honest nation has any cause for concern. THE WORLD condemns North Korea for developing nuclear weapons and ICBMs. THE WORLD condemns Iran for attempting to develop nuclear weapons and ICBMs. THE WORLD condemns Syria for using chemical weapons. Is there some reason not to condemn argieland for corrupt and criminal behaviour affecting THE WORLD?

As I suspected SCOTUS turned them down. This has always been simple contract law with 150+ yrs of case law to reference.
