“There are no uncertainties or any weird things here, we just have to keep up with the performance”, said Argentine Vice-president and caretaker president Amado Boudou speaking on Monday from Government House a few hours after signing to replace Cristina Fernandez for thirty days while the head of state undergoes cranium surgery and a recovery period. How can power rest with her unelected son? Sounds like North Korea.

Maximo and Alicia to run the country, nepotism springs to mind, my god can the Argies not rise up and oust the corrupt government. I do not mean with riots but determination of their democratic rights. All hell would break out in the UK if a politician was to be accused of a crime and not step down.

Well, Sr. Boudou, that's not the way it looks from the outside.

Argentina is following the precedent set by Mercosur and UNASUR member, Venezuela.

After Chavez's excruciatingly painful and deserved death, Maduro was not supposed to take power while an election was called.

    However he did!

Seems ignoring your constitution is only something Paraguay is capable of in the eyes of Chavistas and Kirchnerites.

The Queen is dead, long live the King!

Well Boudou is hated by all opposition and kirchnerites alike... He can’t get more low than that, so that itself is an advantage for him, he is bound to do something right.
He has at least a chance in this month with an absent CFK to show some asset or capability that will come useful to him in the future, if he wants to survive.

Do you know that since last week one cannot get pesos from ATM's in Argentina using foreign debit cards? They need US$$ and Euros, but prevent to get them!

“Boudou was considered such a liability ahead of the 27 October election that he had been sent overseas, to Brazil and was scheduled to fly this last weekend to France.”

    Can he run for president?

“power remains in Cristina’s inner circle” = reassuring =)

#10 Timmerman would be a much better bet, if Cristina can't run again...

On second thoughts I agree, Timerman would be good news for the Falkland Islands, though I guess Boudou would be just as bad thoug not as hilarious as Timmerman and his 'we demand' monologue form of dialogue.
