' ... to the north of Uruguay' is ... Brasil.

Perhaps Total should be talking to Brasil and Petrobras.

Despite MPs efforts to confuse us all, it is still Uruguay: JUST!

I think if they flex the tool bit north they will be “under” Brazil. Perhaps that is why they are there.

    @ 4 Stevie

I keep seeing these useless things holding up the traffic heading north on Ruta 9 and wondering when we will stop wasting our tax money on them. No, sorry, MY tax money, you don’t pay taxes here still.

300Mw @ 8% net yield (being generous) equals a whole 24 Mw! Gee-whiz, whatever next electric buses on the IB? Ha, ha.

Pepe still hasn’t come up with the goods on the “electric buses” by which he means the battery powered things that take 8 hours to recharge. And WHERE do they get the electricity from, not windmills that’s for certain.

I do you all the little greenie wonks falling for the “Wind turbine” name.

Stevie: I bet you can’t tell me which bit of this crap idea is the “turbine” in the scientific understanding of the term, can you?

But Chris, of course I can.
The wind turbine is the device that turns the wind energy into mechanical energy.
For mere mortals, it's inside the little box at the top, the one the axis enters.

I gave you a gold mine there... 700 MW to go, you still have time...
