We all thought that Paraguay's objection was to Chavez, but it would seem that the objection is to Chavezism ... now personified in Maduro.
Real reconciliation can only come about when the legacy of Chavezism and 'Bolivarism' is expunged from Venezuela and from Mercosur.

Why can’t they just leave Paraguay be and not humiliate her??
I don’t understand why Chavist Venezuela is obsessed of being a member of all the LATAM clubs. ALBA, UNASUR, CELAC, OEA, and now they want to be in Mercosur ?? Why?? What for if they are only interested in political bigotry and spouting rubbish?? The original spirit and purpose of Mercosur was the formation of a free trading bloc of South America in the early 1990s by BRA, ARG, URU & PAR that were governed at the time by liberal leaders like Cardoso, Menem, and Lacalle they hate so much… Venezuela looks like that loud and sticky girl that auto-invites herself to every party and pushes in into every photo.

    Correction.
Venezuela IS a full member of Mercosur.

You are a leftie idiot that doesn’t read the facts, and will kneel to any foreign power as long as it is Latin American and left wing…. That is the same cowardly and retarded attitude that got your government to where it is today. Stop being the little bitch of Brazil and Argentina

Since he was President he has had the prominent job of giving classes with Aznar (!!!), a contract of one year and not renewable after massive protests from the students. He was also involved in some similar cooperation in Metz, an agreement that was abandoned after similar protests but amongst politicians this time...

    So, Uribe rules what exactly?

I can't wait for the day Colombia goes her own way, and joins us in our path towards social inclusion.
Until that day, she will still be a loved and respected sister nation.
No so her elected Presidents, elected from the most prominent ones the narcos have to offer. Democracy is merely a tool when your options are limited, or the means are just unequal.
We feel with Colombia, we've been there. Not the same, but similar.

    45) Stevie, You say like a typical left wing hypocrite
“I can't wait for the day Colombia goes her own way, and joins us in our path towards social inclusion.
Until that day, she will still be a loved and respected sister nation.”
Do you understand why that comment is a contradiction in terms? you are assuming Colombia is “not on the path of social inclusion” and Mercosur, Bolivia and Ecuador are. You are assuming that eventually she will go her own way but for you the only option is to integrate with the continental left bloc.
For your logic the presidents of Brazil, Argentina or Uruguay are perfectly respectable and representatives of their constituencies. Now how come a billionaire that made her fortunes from exclusively public service, fake lawyer, bigoted liar and cynical monster like Cristina be my legitimate president and yet Uribe not a representative of Colombia but a drug lord (any proof?)??
And despite all this empty talk of LATAM brotherhood and love for Colombia, her neighbors have being conspiring with the terrorist for years and do business with the drug cartels.
I know you will not like this but the only truth is the one who actually helped her is not in LATAM and now you hyenas and cynical, opportunist rats are wanting to jump in and credit yourselves after the war is ended without investing a dollar nor spilled a drop of blood for the Colombian people like your president. I’ve got news for you the Colombians will not forget
Why Brazil, that aspires a seat at the UNSC and world recognition and respect not fully participate and aid properly the Colombian government to end the conflict? And don’t blame the Colombian presidents because since half a century they have tried to negotiate and always were stabbed in the back by the FARC.

    Like Correa told Uribe, I tell you;

50 years of war between the FARC and the Colombian governments is nobody's but Colombias fault.
    Take responsability for your actions.
7 US military bases and drug production is live and kicking, about the same coincidence as the opium production in Afghanistan.

Yes, one day Colombia WILL go her own way, and there the rest of us will be waiting for her.
Until that day, we will do everything possible in order to stop that wasteful war that does little else than divide that beautiful country to make it easier to conquer.
