Italy’s tax collection agency says it has formally notified Diego Maradona that it will begin procedures to freeze his assets in Italy to pay off his tax debt of 39 million Euros or 53 million dollars. Read full article

    I worked in Caserta, where the King of Naples had his Palace, for over two years two weeks there and two weeks back in the UK.

    Great people, lovely friendly women but all subjugated by the Mafia. The Mafia pervades everything in Southern Italy and it is not surprising that the argie cheat and crook has been robbing the country of tax dues.

    I imagine that the argies will think this is disgusting that their forebears in Italy DARE to take this money off him. He clearly didn’t grease the local Dons otherwise this would never have happened. Servers the bastard right.
