Oct 25th, 2013 - 09:37 am - Link - Report abuse 0I suppose it is common practice. Trick is do not get caught, they do it all the time. Argentina the most corrupt country in Latam, and that is saying something.
Bribing customs is common procedure, you mean? And not to be included in your perceived corruption index, of course...
Oct 25th, 2013 - 10:03 am - Link - Report abuse 0Stevie,
Oct 25th, 2013 - 03:00 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Agreed - likely common, in Argentina.
Why not included ?
It's part of the corruption.
What is so sad is that these extra expenses are added to the cost of the product. So in the end the Arg people end up paying significantly more for everything they buy.
Oct 25th, 2013 - 03:40 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Doesn't that ever dawn on them?
Don't they wonder why a TV costs 5X more in Arg than in USA?

Oct 25th, 2013 - 07:55 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Is that 5x of your brand new 3D bills?
Because those are at least worth 5 pesos, as curiousities...
As I said you can dance for the U$ 20.
Oct 26th, 2013 - 05:04 am - Link - Report abuse 0Dance monkey dance.
Where did you borrow those U$20???
Oct 26th, 2013 - 05:22 am - Link - Report abuse 0Oh! boys,
Oct 26th, 2013 - 08:34 am - Link - Report abuse 0Bribing is common practice in the US health industry not for nothing corrupted Tea party want to bring down OBOSO health care.
USMEX is the country that expends more in health care having one of the worse systems in the world while spending 17% of its GDP on it.
The labs provide undercover bribes to top influential and not so influential doctor to prescript their branded medicines with exotic symposiums in paradise place, training with more easy girls than in a cabaret and vacations plus all kind of bribes tactics.
The way to eliminate this is to forbid doctors to prescript branded medicines and forbid labs to advertise medicines and doctors only will be allowed to prescript generic medicines.
What I love more about these regulatory agencies from US is that they seem to be only concern about these practices in others countries but not in US. Which is the source of all corruption around the world.
A multinational that bribes in other country also bribes at home because this is part of the culture of the company as is exported as a common practice.
It is hilarious to think that these multinationals only bribe in other countries and not at home.
Well, bribes is a common practice in capitalism because money prevail over ethics.
Who receive bribes is a corrupted buy who pays it is also a corrupted and both should be in jail for at least 30 years.
Or lets stop to be so hypocrite and lets rule bribes lets say to 5% over each order and lets collect taxes over it.

Oct 27th, 2013 - 06:21 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You do not make sense, at least in English. Why is it in BA you best put a 100 peso in a driving licence so that when the police stop you, you are let off with a warning. Try that in a developed country like the US or UK, you would be in front of a magisrate in a blink of an eye. Most of Latam can be bribed because that is the way of life. You do it yourself, hypocrite.

Oct 28th, 2013 - 12:45 am - Link - Report abuse 0I don’t know about your $100 tale, because I never pay or offer bribes anywhere is my own policy because who pays a bribe is so or most corrupted than who accept it.
In US an UK exist more bribes than what you can imagine. And is not so expensive to bribe them just see in the videos below and articles.

Oct 31st, 2013 - 11:29 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Trouble is we at least address the problem, you will find where there is corruption and bribery the perpertrators are sent to prison. Your country has not enough jails for your lot, even if they are found out. Your police force are not paid enough thats why they are corrupt.
