“Technological advances allow us to be in permanent contact with the president”.

TMBOA has two dozen mobiles but can't remember whose number is what.

But don't worry, all she ever does is screams and screams and screams until she makes herself sick and has to go back into hospital for another facelift / neck roll / arse tuck or a wire bottle brush clean prior to a good swabbing out.

“The president is making decisions all the time, sending instructions, giving us the framework for policies; she's all the time busy in a multiplicity of issues, some with media coverage, others with not”, explained Capitanich.

Yep the old hag is busy trying to hide her stolen millions and cover her tracks! Meanwhile her minions are buzzing around her ass like blowflies trying to defend her.

I think CFK is doing very little and everything is being filtered through Fat Max. She is not up to the job but like all dictators she will not step down and the people around her will keep up the charade.

Argentina have begged for close to 2 billion from the World Bank. Last year the UK abstained from voting.

You are correct Elaine that many are not pleased with their fate, especially when one's extended family remain their and likely will never move. However, how many Argentines do you think accept that is is the power companies fault versus the stifling policies that restrict and prevent infrastructure investment? Now here is the most important one.....how many do not care who is to blame, they just want the electricity on, lower inflation and less embarrassment on the international stage.....can anyone blame them?

I will miss CFK if she goes. Even now, she is low key and I miss her.

She is an excessively entertaining world figure. A regular clown.

The Argentinians voted her in, they have to accept all the trouble she's brought too. They swallow all the propaganda, lies, and crap her administration spews also. No one speaks out against it, they deserve all the trouble they get for that too. For trying to steal another people's land, even after it cost hundreds of lives, they deserve all the trouble they're getting for that too. For blaming everyone else in the world for their troubles but themselves, they deserve all the trouble they get for that too.

    At Stevie,

A flood is not a cause of poor government or poor legislating. The ability to control a flood is minimal.

A flood is a natural catastrophe, it isn't something a people choose.

They do choose leaders and they choose legislation.

We are responsible for the consequences of our choices.

“A flood is not a cause of poor government or poor legislating. The ability to control a flood is minimal.”
urban floods are consequence of lack of infrastructure, lack of planification and lack of absorptive soils, most of the times.
who is to blame for that?
victims of floods are consequence of the lack of suitable rescue equipment, slow reaction and lack of prevention.
who is to blame for that?
    yes, the government

Most flooding of property happens because of building on the flood-plain.
    Who is to blame?
In the UK - the planners, who allowed it to happen.

Shoot one planner for each inundation - we'll see them planning properly.

    @ Stevie

You place way too much faith in a bunch of self serving politicians and bureaucrats. It would seem an unwise thing to do. They are not honest people and they don't really care about “the people”.

At most, there are a few honest ones, no more, and not even that many probably. Thinking otherwise is a fantasy of no use, and a lie.

Back to the article, I will miss CFK, she is very entertaining.

And, I don't feel guilty about the problems her administration is causing the Argentinians. All that “Malvinas” propaganda shows them up for what they are, thieves.

Having sympathy for decent, honest, hardworking people in trouble is an obligation.

Having sympathy for a bunch of freeloading, conniving thieves is not good for humanity and “the people”.

That communist “government has to take care of the people” thinking is pure diarrhea for liars only, with its real purpose of just hurting “the people”.

Oh no I had an amazing time in Argentina until I didn't. I got fed up with the filthy noisy city and nothing working like it should.

Its hot electricity goes out, its cold the electricity goes out, its windy the internet goes out, its rainy the electricity and internet go out. Atms don't have money by Sat. No gas at gas stations. The cities are filthy, noisy, smell like diesel fumes, nobody obeys any laws, 3 lanes of traffic and 5 cars at the lights.

I overlooked a lot of problems until my neighbors kid got kidnapped and killed, commando assaulted, boxed in while driving, mugged, the list goes on and on. So I thought it was best for me to leave before one of those stats was me!
Now I just like to watch it crumble.
Mostly because all the Stupid Rgs on this board that claimed a “New Argentina” The 3rd Way was working, will always work and their system is far superior to mine. Idiots all.

Also in the USA we don't walk in fear or live behind 12 foot walls. In NYC/DC/Boston/LA/San Fran/Chicago it is common to see ladies walking with 100s of thousands of $ worth of clothes and jewelry walking down the street by themselves without a problem.
In BA when I went shopping I was told NEVER to walk down the street with new shopping bags because someone would steal them AND this was Recoleta!
I was also told not to wear an expensive watch because I would get mugged.
We don't think about that stuff here.
Mugging is rare, personal theft is rare.
Where I grew up nobody in my neighborhood had keys to their front doors because in 20 yrs they were never locked.

Yankee, the Scotch town of Glasgow is renowned for violence. Not so many murders but muggings and razor attacks. It was a city of culture once which is awarded to downmarket places in the hope that it will change them. As for the pound, There will have to be a vote by the rest of the UK before any Scotch state can use it. Wont happen anyway. Its all a bargaining ploy by the scroungers. We ain't falling for it.

If they are the same they are like Jeykell and Hyde

    Joe
Probably - he showed so many parallels with Dover, the same disdain, the same repartee with the ”Think' persona, even continuing with some of the same themes, even though he was 'new' here.

I'm thinking that he simply became too lazy to bother with constructed personas after Dame Dover unravelled - too much effort. Too much especially, to be 'wasted' on people he did not want to admit he envied, yet he wanted respect from.

Both A-Voice and Think are racist nasty shits, and both are happiest when the conversation is about them.

Sorry, I didn't notice your post above Troy's. Think almost certainly is at least living in if not from the UK; most likely Scotland. He did go to a lot of trouble to make sure DoD was humourless and lacking in Think's wit. So maybe he's trying the same with A-Voice and who knows how many other personas for that matter.

I've said it for years and I still reckon there are possibly only 4 or 5 posters from the Malvinista/ La Campora side on MP that account for 20 or 30 login names.

    Faz, Joe,

There's been a barrage of Trolls lately - a rising crescendo of desperation I think.
Stevie, Sussie, Vestige, Jose, Marcos, and now, Paul Credenza. Some are obviously Socks.
Did you notice how spare their remarks and 'personalities' are right now - I guess when you're fielding so many drones, you can't flesh them out convincingly.
Even Privates Humper has been taken down off the shelf - not his usual verbose “Nuke the US/UK” rant though.

I think there is one very capable Puppetmaster and then there is “THink”.

Someone showed a “PaulCedora” Troll and his Anti-Brit rants, from another forum. Has he been out there for some time?

#52 Faz “the Scotch town of Glasgow is renowned for violence.”

Glasgow is Scottish. not Scotch. Scotch is a drink.

“Not so many murders but muggings and razor attacks.”

This was true in the 60s and 70s but not any more. Glasgow is now a very safe place compared to other large cities. I worked there for 5 years and was never mugged or attacked with anyhing, never mind a razor! I always felt very safe and relaxed in Glasgow and I found the Glaswegians to be friendly and funny.

Actually, the energy of Buenos Aires reminded me of Glasgow when I first visited in 2006 but it has been sad to see things get so much worse there since then.

“... before any Scotch state can use it.”

I don't know how many of these “Scotch” states you think there are, but there is only one Scotland.

Voice, Yeah I come and talk about the Peso. This is a board dedicated to discussion about Argentina/Falklands. So yeah it is relevant.
The only time I post about the USA is when some RG numbskull tries to compare their 3rd world mess to the USA. Since most (probably including you) have never been here, could never get here, they (you) use google to search “USA bad X” or some such nonsense to prove their whataboutery so it is easy to refute their statements SINCE I ACTUALLY LIVE HERE.

Looks at the idiot Paul, he uses 10yr old links about some obscure thing to prove somehow Arg crime is less than the USA. He is nuts. I've lived in both and know from what I speak.

You are a nasty vulgar person. My suggestion is to get some professional help.

I lived in a famous quinta in the summer it even had a name! Which i though was delightful.
I also had a whole floor with River and Obelisk views in the best part of BsAs. That building had some very famous Rgs living there. Places that would never let you in.
Think what you want I had a great time in Argentina but saw the collapse coming long ago. That place is a mess and will only be fixed when the Military takes over again.
Democracy has clearly failed in Argentina.

I loved the Quinta but that is where we had so many problems with neighbors getting commando assaulted, kidnapped and boxed in. We shared security and had front and back patrols 24hr a day and it was still bad.
I was just talking to a friend who lived in one of the gated communities down the road and they said they had to leave because they were getting so scared for his wife and kids. He told me it has gotten really bad really fast much worse than when I lived there.

It's not just here. You find pretty much the same song sheet on any forum where the Falklands is discussed, anglo- gringo- or xeno- phobia, crimes of the British Empire, Argentina the victim, thwarted entitlement, belligerence, arrogance, intolerance and irrationality. The younger they are the worse it seems to be.

It's hardly surprising, of course, because their politicians are no better and their press is also full of it. But God help them if this is all they have to make sense of the world and make their way in it.

The Brits that believe The Falklands should belong to the Argentine, are probably recent arrival immigrants from the 3rd world...those, with rare exceptions, that go to the UK to live off government handouts...those who couldn't really give a damn about England other than what they hope to receive - for nothing; or they might be the younger generation who have never had to fight for what they have, just a bunch of stupids with liberal ideas and who like to be politically correct....really got s**t in their heads - but either way, I firmly believe that the only people who should have the right to decide, are the islanders, and if they go for self-government, screw the argies and that part of the Brits that can't tell their a.holes from their elbows !

We went over this on the last occasion the Telegraph ran this poll. The majority of the pro votes will have originated from Argentine voters, as evidenced by the number of Argentines posting on the site. Call me niave, but I hardly think the result is a true reflection of UK opinion, that being said, it will not stop the Argentine side from using it as a propoganda tool to say that it is.

If they want to lie to themselves, let them. They are only fooling themselves.
