November was a busy month for cruise vessels: eleven cruise ships visited South Georgia between the 9th and 29th, according to the South Georgia Newsletter. One cruise ship, Ortelius, reached the rarely visited South Sandwich Islands and was able to put scientist Tom Hart ashore on Saunders Island where he took soil samples and set up two camera-traps to monitor the penguin colonies. Amazing! Not one vessel got stuck in ice. A RUSSIAN vessel got stuck in ice? Aren't Russians supposed to know about snow and ice? Don't the Chinese know about snow and ice? Where were argies? Problems with fuel, electricity and money? Where were the Chileans? So the hated British got on and did what they needed to do without any problems. And the hated United States set out to rescue the Russians and Chinese. What does this tell us? Argies, chinese and russians are crap. Chileans know when stuff is beyond them. The UK and US know what they are doing. Some thoughts. Leave argieland to “support” its own bases in the Antarctic. Watch argies die. Laugh. Remove Antarctic Treaty Secretariat from Buenos Aires and place in civilised Christchurch, New Zealand. Fine argieland £2 billion for doing nothing to assist. Fine Chile £1 billion for the same reason. Advise argieland that, if it doesn't pay for its failure, no argie base, personnel or vessel will ever be assisted.

South Georgia, wonderful place, the jewel in the crown of BOTs. When you go there they check your boots and all your velcro for foreign seeds and mud and disinfect the boots. Keep it British and keep it safe from the polution of the dark forces of RGland.

Meanwhile, in BsAs they had a major electricity “failure”, even to this day in some parts of the city.

How can these cretins help anybody, they can't even help themselves, except to everybody else's money.
