Mujica was interviewed by a government financed newspaper, La República and again referred to the postponed Mercosur summit and the deteriorated relations with Argentina. Read full article

You reap what you sow Mujica, all of that crawling to Kirchner for years has got you precisely nowhere.

If you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas. That saying was made for Uruguay. I hope their 50 million in frozen exports aren't perishables lol

Uruguay needs a strong president to chart an independent course that is BEST for Uruguay.

Instead they get a sycophant that just can't envisage Uruguay being anything more than a vassal state of either Brazil or Argentina.

Being a small country next to a larger neighbour doesn't mean that that needs to define your entire existence.

    Pepe says:
“only when you become aware of how powerful the developed world is, do you understand how important it is to get together with the neighbors: that is part of the deep political problem that currently faces Latin America”

Pepe it is only a problem for the countries that, until now, have isolated themselves. Many countries realized what you are now saying a long time ago and have already formed trade agreements with the ”powerful” developed nations.

Mujica says Mercosur is ”seriously impaired”

The rest of us have known that since we were told that Argentina was to be a member.
