There are, of course, no UN resolutions that demand the sovereignty of the Falklands be negotiated.

As for Latam integration, Argentina appears something of a pariah among its fellow states.

The best bit, though, is when CFK says “Celac does not become another multinational organization with pompous statements that never makes things happen.”

    Really?

    Today's Headlines in UK/EU/USA featuring Crass-tina?
    None.
But I'd did see a footnote “mad dog barks in SA, no one cares” see page 93..“
    Anyhoo, back on topic;
”Cristina fernández ... admitted that ”if only ten years ago anyone would have said that all the region was to gather in Cuba in an unprecedented integration process, he would have been considered overwhelmed by utopia“.“

Yes love, they still do. No change there. dream on.... Hysterical! PMSL!

And this! OMG! This is comedy-central!
”Underlining that the Falklands/Malvinas are “the last vestige of colonialism in the world', the Argentine president again called on the UK to comply with UN resolutions and resume sovereignty negotiations.“

Vestige! Come hither! it has your name all over it! Please explain these 'UN Resolutions' in full, all of them, please! Exactly as there are written, come on, it is just a 'cut-and -paste' job! To show what the UN stated! Please!
”Finally she called on all members so that “Celac does not become another multinational organization with pompous statements that never makes things happen”
LOL, I can't even type my eyes are so wet from ROTFLAO, honestly PMSL, (stevie you wanna a sniff? you know you do, here puppy, here, better than you usual biscuit!)
I couldn't ask for more from the old transvestite Crass-tina, I though we had good comedy clubs in London but this... Oh dear, oh dear...
where are my smelling salts? I feel a little faint....

“the Falklands/Malvinas are “the last vestige of colonialism in the world'”
in which case, we thank the Argentine president for her support for the UK's legitimate sovereignty rights in Gibraltar.

This woman is so deluded it is amazing that she can dress herself in the morning.

The Falklands are “the last vestige of colonialism in the world”, 8% debt and CELAC as some actual useful organisation.

    None of them are true.

    CF K is misquoted

    what she actually said was...

“WE WANT the Malvinas to be the last vestige of colonialism in the world..and where our military attack failed we now want to use blackmail to subjugate the islanders against their will”

not sure if this is just a mis-translation on MP side but
'de-indebted' is not in the Oxford English Dictionary....

    ....hmmm....

”Cristina Fernandez also demanded the de-militarization of the South Atlantic and called for Latin America to effectively become a ”zone of peace“.

Yet Argentina is still trying to buy more military aircraft. They could not afford the Spanish Mirage F1 and they cannot afford the Israeli Kfir, but it doesn't stop them trying to militarise the South Atlantic and then threaten the oil exploration rigs.

    Hypocrites anyone?!

”we must see ourselves as an economic bloc, because time is running out and the need is growing“.

An accurate statement! But it's still funny!

Time IS indeed running out for CFK, and she promised the Argentines during her presidency (did she not) that the Argentines would colonise the Falklands.

Keep this up you group of CELAC loonies!-it's saving me loads of money I was going to pay to see comedians.

If Argentina made people pay to hear these ” pompous statements that never makes things happen” they would make enough money to pay off their debts and become rich.

Given the direct Argentina is currently heading (financial collapse), i suppose the meaning of the word Vestige is rather more appropriate for Argentina.

Love that bit about making “pompous statements that never makes things happen”.

Her Cuban hosts must appreciate that one. Fidel Castro was famous for making televised speeches that lasted 5 hours. Yet half a century after gaining power Cuba is mired in the worse poverty in the Americas with a terrible human rights record.

Chavez was fond of the sound of his own voice as well. It’s true though he still left enough time to wreck his country’s economy.

And CFK? I rather think the facts speak for themselves.

She demands de-militarising the south Atlantic,
    So she buys military jets,

She says peace is the norm, peaceful talking only,
So she will use these planes to harass the islanders,

She says- let’s sit and talk,
In the meantime she blockades, insults, intimidates, threatens
    , and abuses, the islanders,

    And yet,
She alone is causing all this trouble, just because of her deluded dreams of grandeur,

And turns her own people into anti British monsters,
Gets other south American leaders to hate the British, [with limited success ]

And all because we are stopping her imperialistic dreams of a new argentine empire.
She is so determine to get this victory, she is willing to sacrifice Argentina to get it..
    still,
we wonder what the people of these new countries, caused by the break up,, will be called .lol

Scritti Politti - The Word Girl

To do what I should do, to long for you to hear.
Open up my heart and watch her name appear.
A word for you to use, a girl without a cause.
A word for what you loose, when it was never yours.

    Would that “Word” be “Malvinas”?

@3 Yeah, I wonder about the other 13 BOTs, the 4 US unincorporated organised territories, the 10 US unincorporated unorganised territories, the 8 French overseas territories and collectivities, the 6 Netherlands overseas territories, the 1 Danish overseas territory. Then there's the Aland Islands (Finland), Büsingen am Hochrhein and Helgoland (Germany), Ceuta and Melilla (Spain) and Campione d'Italia and Livigno (Italy). Conveniently forgot all those, didn't she?
@15 No she won't use those Kfir aircraft to harass the Islands. Check out the logistics. A Kfir would need to tank 3 times. And argieland only has 2 tankers. Beautiful targets for Typhoons. The tankers would have to “orbit” around 350 miles from the argie coast. Typhoons have BVR capability.

perhaps Argentina buying these planes, could in fact end up humiliating her and her air force.

it seems a total waste of money, considering they are nearly broke..

CFk's statement that the Falklands/Malvinas are “the last vestige of colonialism in the world'“ - as if it were a burden for the FI - would almost make anyone think that she is actually concerned with the well being of the Islanders....what she really means is apparent when you get to ”called on the UK to comply with UN resolutions and resume sovereignty negotiations.“....it's the same stupid, senseless claim, over and over again. And, as Conq @18, correctly pointed out, she conveniently omitted all the other dozens of Territories with similar status...she's just a bullshitter.
Not to mention her ” ”we must see ourselves as an economic block, because time is running out and the need is growing“....a real joker, especially because she and her cross-eyed hubbie were instrumental in preventing the Mercosur Treaty of becoming an effective tool for SA economic integration.

    “time is running out”

but not for the reasons she's suggesting.

With 64% inflation, time is running out for Argentina's survival.

With many US oil companies lining up to sign on for Falklands oil exploration, it won't be long before the oil is coming out of the ground and making Falkland Islanders rich - NOT CFK & her cronies.

With Argentina's imminent economic collapse, all the support they are getting from their neighbours will fall away as everyone stands around not want to pick up the tab for CFK's incompetence.

Time is running out for CFK's survival and the lamp post and piano wire is waiting

“Finally she called on all members so that “Celac does not become another multinational organization with pompous statements that never makes things happen” and described an 'non-existent' the multilateralism of many global organizations because “yes, there are many members at the table, but just one or two decide”.” What does this mean? What a load of codswallop!

I almost cry every time I hear her speak of the Falklands (or anything else for that matter). If Argentina has an exportable model for “good governance” one day, then perhaps people will clamour for the Argies to take over. I'm not holding my breath! Everywhere I go, the locals just shrug, and hold their nose, as the place goes to ”hell on a hand-basket. I changed at 13 today.
