An Argentine picket leader closely aligned with the administration of President Cristina Fernandez openly supported the Venezuelan government of president Nicolas Maduro and called for the opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez to be sentenced to a firing squad. Read full article

Disclaimer & comment rulesWell if Luis D'Elia finds himself out of a job next year he can always start a Thugs 'R' Us franchise.
Feb 19th, 2014 - 07:12 am - Link - Report abuse 0Perhaps Maduro can just throw Lopez out of a plane over the South Atlantic instead!
Feb 19th, 2014 - 07:32 am - Link - Report abuse 0How quickly people forget the mistakes of the past and so wish to repeat them.
In 1994, Iranian and Hizbollah agents blow up and kill 89 Argentine citizens, in Argentina.
Feb 19th, 2014 - 07:42 am - Link - Report abuse 0In 2014, Sr. Luis D' Elia, a Kirchner leader displays a photo of Ayatollah Khomeini on his wall, stating he is a great supporter of Iran. ( In fairness, he does appear to be an athletic supporter at least ).
He has reportedly Twitted his support to Sr. Maduro, but due to the protests, Maduro has selectively cut off the Internet and Twitter .
Running Dog Lackey !
A Kirchnerite wants to silence the democratic voice of opposition with death.......
Feb 19th, 2014 - 08:03 am - Link - Report abuse 0.......why am i not surprised?
D'Elia was born in Moron BA.
Feb 19th, 2014 - 08:28 am - Link - Report abuse 0What is the official name of his brown shirts? I'd be interested to look up who they are as the article above seems to depict a cartoon character.
Feb 19th, 2014 - 09:20 am - Link - Report abuse 0A sad little man...
Feb 19th, 2014 - 10:27 am - Link - Report abuse 0So, he is calling for the VZ regime to avoid any 'due process of law' and commit murder.
I'm sure he will be screaming for his democratic and judicial rights when KFC falls and the people come for him.
What a worthless little turd.
Still, it is quite amusing that he used Twitter/Internet, which Maduro's people have consistently tried to block in a futile attempt to block the information flow...
I (& many thousands of others acrosss the planet), have spent a fair amount of time in the past few days helping friends and family in VZ circumnavigate these 'blocks', simply re-posting links and posts, providing connections to websites the regime is not aware of or can't control.
Yes, there has been pressure on ISP like CanTV for example, threats of loss of licence etc. but as we saw in events like the Arab Spring, no single Gov. can control all the information flows.
Another illiterate, innumerate arsehole in charge like so many in Argentina and elswhere not too far away.
Feb 19th, 2014 - 10:52 am - Link - Report abuse 0What is it with the electorate in SA, death wish or what? This cretin could not exist without elected officials harbouring him from righteous killing by the citizens.
Its Peron who should have been shot years ago. They would have avoided all this Peronism in AR and maybe things would actually be working. He was, after all, the one who brought AR down in the first place. Also, Cuban policies seem to be running the show in the whole of SA.

Feb 19th, 2014 - 01:12 pm - Link - Report abuse 0So much fro due process (of the law). Who does this guy think he is? Judge Dredd.
Feb 19th, 2014 - 01:36 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Leopoldo Lopez has jet to be charged, yet convicted of any crime.
No evidence he is allied to the US, he is simply opposed to the current government. It's called democracy.
However Luis D'Elía would be appearing to incite murder. Surely that's a crime even in Argentina?
So come on Trolls, THINK about it this and I challenge you not to condemn this incitement.
If this was some sort of skit, I would be laughing my a$$ off ... but no, D'elia actually means it, which is sad ... He's a joke. A dangerous joke.
Feb 19th, 2014 - 01:49 pm - Link - Report abuse 0He's the one that should be executed. Just throw a dictionary at him. That'll do.
d´elia is the argentine version of some of the usual imbeciles here.
Feb 19th, 2014 - 01:52 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Kirchnerism, the new (i.e., the old) fascism. Gotta love it.
Feb 19th, 2014 - 02:22 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@14 That doesn't really work, does it. He is an Argentine; own it. He is a Kirchnerite, own it. He is the leader of the Kirchnerite mobs; own it. CFK owns it.
Feb 19th, 2014 - 02:24 pm - Link - Report abuse 0All countries have extremist elements that are an embarrassment but they also play a role in ensuring the rational and reasonable people never become complacent.
One would hope that the idiot who wants Lopez executed is condemned for his words, and fired from his job. I suspect the end of Maduro is nigh, and they will need good men to right all of the wrongs of Chavismo. Would that Argentina would learn from these sorry lessons.

Feb 19th, 2014 - 03:05 pm - Link - Report abuse 0guess you need to read the posts of many of the imbeciles who want to kill argentinians or to nuke buenos aires, laughing everytime there is a catastrophe, fatal accident etc in argentina.
basically, the same mentality of d´elia.
@18 As I said in my post, we all have extremist elements that are an embarrassment.
Feb 19th, 2014 - 03:57 pm - Link - Report abuse 0On this board there are occasional stupid posts raging about killing, I skip them once they have lost the plot like that. I have been here long enough to witness it from people claiming to be from various countries including Argentina. I suspect some mean it and some are stirring shit. BUT they have no impact on real life raging away on a message board. D'Elia does. He has a following of ignorant and brutish thugs.

Feb 19th, 2014 - 05:03 pm - Link - Report abuse 0d'elia is a thug and a criminal no doubts.
now, he posted that sh*t in twitter.
putting aside the number of followers, it is the same sh*t that many here do.
i don´t know exactly how many of you are posting messages every time a (bad) new of argentina is published, maybe 20?
99% of those posts are to mock about the misfortunes of the argentinians.
i remeber when d´elia declared that he hated viscerally the white, based on stereotypes (white oligarchy, etc), prejudices, and a poor mentality.
well, it is exactly the same here.
the funny thing is when you answer them following their logic and they feel offended.

Feb 19th, 2014 - 05:50 pm - Link - Report abuse 0D’Elia is the typical puntero, picket leader of the Conurbano…To be fair not even kirchnerist like him, he started of being a useful backward thug of Menem’s government and he is not very influential in government, he is however very high profile and the media focuses on him, but there must be hundreds of D’Elias.
This man should have being in jailed many years ago assaulting that police station
@20 By using 'you' are you addressing me directly? Are you calling me prejudiced and of poor mentality?
Feb 19th, 2014 - 06:20 pm - Link - Report abuse 0There are not twenty people posting messages here about people being shot for their convictions. There are a couple from different countries doing that. And no one knows who they are in real life, they don't have a following, they are just random people posting under false names. D'Elias IS known and has followers. CabezaDura2 says he also has a media following. Do you see the difference?
I can't imagine any individual comment on here becoming the subject of a news item or being a headline in the media.
@ 22 ElaineB
Feb 19th, 2014 - 06:25 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Take no notice of this moron, he is at Marco's level and not at all bright.
@23 I think it is an important distinction to make. A crazy murderous comment on a message board is insignificant. A known Kirchnerite with a large following, is closely aligned with the President of Argentina, and with a media profile, making crazy murderous comments is significant.
Feb 19th, 2014 - 06:47 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I assume he will get away with incitement to comit murder because it is in a different country to Argentina. He is still a scum though and If someone shot him Argentina would be better for it!

Feb 19th, 2014 - 07:40 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Elaine,
I'm pretty sure Paul wasn't referring to you, he used you generically trying to denote anybody making racist remarks at D'Elias' kind.

Feb 19th, 2014 - 08:46 pm - Link - Report abuse 0no, you know i was not addressing you directly.
read the posts of the usual imbeciles conqueror, chrisr, yankee, troy, etc.
and read what d´elia usually posts.
well, it is the same structure of thought.
if one is more or less influential, that is another issue.
honestly halfwits like chrisr could not be too much influential, but they are the same sh*t anyway
@27 I agree with some of your points. But you drew a comparison I don't agree with. If someone spouts some shit about murder on a message board it has no real consequence. D'Elia may be of the same mentality but he is doing it on a public platform with media coverage and an equally bonkers following who could very well act on his words.
Feb 19th, 2014 - 08:59 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Add to that his close association with the government of Argentina and his words have real consequence. Not everyone can see him for what he is or he wouldn't be a picket leader.
So in Argentina it is legal to call for the extrajudicial murder of a democratically elected politician? What a shit heap of a country. The sooner it goes completely tits up in Argentina the better. At least then there will be a future worth looking forward to.
Feb 19th, 2014 - 10:20 pm - Link - Report abuse 0In mob parlance, in Canada, this guy would be whacked: no jail time, no court time, no taxpayers $$ wasted. They never have found Jimmy Hoffa and they should never find this sumbitch either. This goes way beyond the rules of fair play. There is a new and growing trend in the north: it's called vigilantism! When the law and the government let you down; you take matters into your own hands. Enough is enough!
Feb 20th, 2014 - 03:50 am - Link - Report abuse 0@30 I don't even think he deserves the nastier stereotypical organized labor imagery. He's a state-run thug and no matter what you think of trade unionists, anyone who is a fanboy of Iran has absolutely NO street cred whatsoever when it comes to organized labor. He's a brownshirt and a toady-on-call of the ultimate hostile management, a wannabe fascist government.
