The Scottish Parliament could gain more power over tax if voters reject independence, said British Prime Minister. A No vote on September 18 is “not the end of line” for devolution, David Cameron told the Scottish Conservative party conference in Edinburgh. Read full article

Let's hope they vote yes and we rid Parliament of all those left wing Scotch morons that dragged us down over the years.

The only twat bigger than “No Money Pepe” is this one.

I had been a Conservative voter all my life until the Party picked this wastrel as its leader. I spotted him as a “wrung-un” right from the start.

Apart from “working” in a marketing department, he has never had a real job all his life.

A descendent of one of the eleven illegitimate children of King William IV, but because William IV and his wife had no surviving children on his demise the throne passed to Queen Victoria.

So the bastards “ruling” the UK anyway.

    Oooo well thought out comment.....
One small point...as those Scottish MP's are a tiny “Minority” in Parliament, then I suggest that it must have been the “Majority” of English MP's that are responsible for the dragging.....Doh!

As opposed to those English left wing morons, (in the majority) and right wing Tory bankers who dragged us down.

Now we have a government of English TORY morons with public school and Oxbridge credentials !

Read the figure below and explain to your audience how a relatively few Scottish Labour MP's over-ruled the bulk of the English Labour MP's
    2001 Labour govt (Blair)
    ———————————–
    Labour majority: 167
    Without Scottish MPs: 129
    NO CHANGE

    2005 Labour govt (Blair/Brown)
    ——————————————–
    Labour majority: 66
    Without Scottish MPs: 43
    NO CHANGE

    2010 Coalition govt (Cameron)
    ——————————————
    Conservative majority: -38
    Without Scottish MPs: 19
CHANGE: HUNG PARLIAMENT TO CONSERVATIVE MAJORITY

    Sources:
    All UK general election results
General election results in Scotland 1945-2001 (Table 1e, p.13)
General election results in Scotland 2005 and 2010

So in summary we can see the following:

    - Scottish MPs have NEVER turned what would have been a Conservative government into a Labour one, or indeed vice versa.

    - on only TWO occasions, the most recent of them being 38 years ago, (1964 and the second of the two 1974 elections), have Scottish MPs given Labour a majority they wouldn’t have had from England/Wales/NI alone. The majorities in question were incredibly fragile ones of four and three MPs respectively – the 1964 Labour government lasted barely 18 months, and the 1974 one had to be propped up by the Lib-Lab Pact through 1977-78 so in practice barely qualified as a majority. Without Scottish MPs but with Liberal support, Wilson would have had a majority of 12.

    - and on ONE occasion (2010) the presence of Scottish MPs has deprived the Conservatives of an outright majority, although the Conservatives ended up in control of the government anyway in coalition with the Lib Dems.

This is not what in Argentina is called Corruption, Bribing and Extortion by media like Clarin and la Nación?

    The right title would be...

Corruption never was so high since WWII.

The level of corruption in the Cameron administration is so high that he openly offers to buy the will of Scottish politicians and voters by offering them money from taxation to say NO.

Wow, seem that buying voters and politicians it is in its high peak on these days in Londonistan the capitol of the Kebab...

With the misery in the Ukistan I wouldn’t be surprise if KaMoron start to exchange free Kebabs for votes.

What drivel? You totally misunderstand. There has been an ongoing debate about granting the Scottish Parliament tax raising powers for several years. This proposal isn’t anything new. What the British Prime Minister is proposing is the possibility that the UK parliament will grant the Scottish Parliament the power to set its own income tax rates (for example). The UK isn’t offering Scotland any more money at all. Any extra tax revenues will come from Scotland itself, set by the democratically elected Scottish Parliament. Why you imagine this is corrupt I have no idea.

@8 Typically (deliberately) blinkered scot. And the appropriate ministers, including the “prime” minister and able to order the whips, were scottish how many times? Just how many times were English and Welsh MPs “whipped” into voting for something beneficial to scotland? But it's a typical scottish SNP view. How does it go? “We pay more taxes than the rest of the UK”. For the last 34 years maybe. How about the other 273 years? “We are treated unfairly by the Westminster government”. Yep, scotland is given £1,500 PER PERSON (public expenditure) than England. That's PER MAN, WOMAN, CHILD, BABY. Let's try reality. In the late 1690s, the kingdom of scotland decided to try to emulate England. It is rightly known as the Darien Disaster. Scotland BEGGED England for aid and union. If only we'd known. But it was important to stop the criminal scottish border raiders. Stealing sheep, cattle, pigs, women. We even loaned scotland £398,085 10s sterling. A sum that has now increased, with notional compound interest, to over £2 quadrillion. Haven't noticed the scottish proposals for paying that back. And, as it tries to run away, scotland reverts to type. It wants to steal. Scotland is not, and never has been, a colony. A colony might be able to request a percentage of the “mother” country's assets. Instead, scotland chose to be a blood-sucking lackey. Not our problem! If there is justice, and scotland votes for independence, it will get the territory it stands on. Indeed, unless it makes a suitable financial arrangement, it shouldn't even get that. Every MoD barracks, naval base and airfield is UK property. If scotland wants them, they will need to pay. Her Majesty's properties must be guaranteed with right of access by UK-approved means. The NHS and education authorities in scotland will have to account for who paid for land, buildings, equipment and, where appropriate, pay compensation. There will be other considerations. Bankrupt scotland within a year!

Cameron seems so desperate for some reason, that he is willing to give more and more powers away,

    What if, what if,
If he gives then any more powers they may yet find themselves semi-independent to themselves before they know it,
I think Cameron should not offer anything that; he cannot possibly keep, or is detrimental to the rest of the UK,

If fate decides they go, then they go and the shit will hit the fan,
And we will all suffer the consequences, except of course mr fishy salmon who will revert to the way all deluded politicians do,
It’s not my fault, you voted for it, now you live it,

    Just a thought.
Tis better the devil you know, than the European devil you have no control over..??

So what is the problem of devolving more powers....
So the Scottish Govt would be able to tax the Scottish people instead of the UK doing it.....seems fair to me...
They wouldn't get any more money from the UK...according to the UK they would be able to raise less.....
    So where is the downside...?
What do the UK have to lose...are they telling porkies and Scotland would in fact be better off....?

    Depends,
if you are a unionist or a separatist,

the point is, you don't just walk away from 300 years because of, 20,000 reasons,
it will tear this nation apart, and the people will suffer,

but if one is a separatist, then it matters not,
for that blue and white flag will fly proudly above edingbough castle will it not,
Scottish ship building , Scottish pound , Scottish taxes , Scottish education , free prescriptions , pensions , army , navy , air force , Scottish banks , Scottish powerhouse,

we poor unionist just cannot compete with a an independent powerful Scotland,
a force to be reckoned with, all that power , oil , gas , minerals, wealth,

your vote , your choice , your future,
According to Mr salmon you scots will be better , great , wealthier , than poor England ever was,

    so their you go,??????????
and very soon we will all know the result will we not.

Likewise Dany. You speak for the Scottish people ? A German - Jewish - Argentinian ?

why Scotland would be an exception?
Because we are ! Unlike the country you love and admire.
Cue troll racing through youtube for videos to counter this or some news story that fits his/her twisted point of view.
You usually come out with uninformed , thinly disguised racist crap.
Your post continues with this theme so nothing new here.

But as Anglotino has pointed out, you are now in favour of self determination, so you have now come round to supporting the Falkland Islanders desire NOT to be taken over by Argentina. I commend your change of attitude.
