Just a warmup until the start of the World Cup, who in their right mind would want to travel there.

It's not looking good but history shows us that crime usually drops during a world cup as everyone is too busy watching the football and partying. I imagine Brazil of all places will be the same.

These disturbances are serving to strengthen Dilma's position. They give her a perfect excuse to ignore the Brazilian wingnuts.

Nobody, far less the rioters, know who killed the dancer, but the simple rumour that it might have been the police, is a good enough excuse to swarm down the hills into the city, to have a field day destroying public and private property....this has become the standard reaction to anything that they don't like....burn a few buses, smash the glass windows of banks and try to steal money by hacking the ATM's to pieces....all in the course of a normal day at work.....and the police ? well, they never catch anyone, no one is held responsible, so it's just going to carry on until the authorities decide to clamp down on these criminals. I don't know what the police are waiting for, or how much worse it's got to become before they decide to enforce the law.
