Wonder where these malvinas lslands(?), mountains, maybe, are.
Maybe in a lake in Central America,
Or maybe they are undersea volcanoes. ????????????????????????

I see, this Parlacen is a sort of 'Banana Republic' club? Well, I shall look for these country's names on bananas and avoid buying any from them in future. The Falkland Islands were very peaceful until the Argienazis decided to send 10000 armed troups to conquer them. Fortunately they suffered a humiliating defeat. The Falkland Islands are peaceful, when Argentina stops its bullying and harresment perhaps they might get an invitation for scones and a nice cup of tea.

As I have it, there has always been a peaceful solution to the FALKLANDS question, it's just the neighbours keep making such a fuss about it all the time..............

    2 lsolde

I was thinking that too, may be these “malvinas lslands” are an hallucination in the minds of the people, it does get very hot down there you know, heat stroke is a constant worry.

    3 CaptainSilver

    Guatemala????

Of course, they are are not just ANOTHER, land grabbing, tin pot, Central American country are they?

Didn't we also have a bit of a “set to” with them in 1972 when they tried to invade British Guatemala ( Belize ).

So it looks like you ARE right, it is a 'Banana Republic' club.

'The statement also calls on the UK government to comply with the Organization of American States, OAS, resolutions, approved during the fourth plenary session from June 2012, which calls for a peaceful solution to the ongoing conflict.'

That was settled in 1982, 14 June Victory day.

Argentine surrender signed by Brigade General Mario Menéndez.

Did the CAP miss or has Argentina not informed them of her overwhelming humiliation in her war of colonisation and aggression against peaceful islanders and the removal of her colonial garrison troops from the Falklands by the UK. Thus restoring the peace.

    And once again...

    Brassiero supports Argentina
over the silly “Malvinas” whilst Argentina will not comply with Mercosur rules about the auto imports, causing huge layoffs and factory closures in Brazil, Argentina won't agree to a Free Trade Deal with EU, costing Brazil big $$$, Argentina trades with China now, instead of Brazil...

Yet, here is Brassiero, the “Brazillian” saying NOTHING about that, but he is behind Argentina's bogus “Malvinas” cause and posting freely about it.

@10 You want us to “approach” you? Can you start by telling us why we should approach a disgusting stench?
    Never mind, here's some possibilities.
    1) We can “approach” you with armed drones.
    2) We can “approach” you with manned aircraft launching missiles, cruise missiles, guided bombs, unguided bombs.
    3) We can “approach” you with naval gunfire.
    4) We can “approach” you with submarine-launched cruise missiles.
    5) We can “approach” you with a division of main battle tanks, another of light tanks, another of IFVs, another of APCs, another of missile batteries, another of artillery, a corps of Apache attack helicopters, supported by regular helicopter gunships, ground attack and hi-lo air superiority combat aircraft, tactical and strategic air transports etc.
    6) We can “approach” you with strategic conventional explosive missiles; OR
    7) We can “approach” you with strategic nuclear weapons.

Do you have a preference? The UK can use any of the means outlined. Or it could use all of them.

I've looked up your “country's” capabilities. Outclassed and outgunned. A while ago you even had to ask Britain to show you how to conduct amphibious landings. Stick with fighting other south american countries. Relatively small it may be, but you stand no chance against the best armed forces in the world. The Americans and Russians may be able to bring sizeable forces. Britain brings experience and intelligence. 14 June 1982. 11,313 argie PoWs!
@18 Sure? Little colonies tend to trade amongst themselves. Can't really make it in the real world.

Argentina really has no interest in the people or the islands; they just want the resources,

They tried diplomacy [one sided] .
This failed, so they used violence,
This also failed, so they tried, bullying, abusing, threatening, blockading, intimidation, blackmail,
Now as this is simply failing, they now try to intimidate and bully other countries and the UN , jumping on any and every little item to take advantage of,

And yet all they are doing, is making the islanders, even more determined never to have anything to do with them in case they use it against you,

And yet to top it all of, CFK and the Firm, have the disgusting humiliating abusive cheek,
To tell the world that they, support freedom, democracy, and a sense of fair play,
And are an avid supporter of human rights,
This in its self is an insult to every person who died in the Falklands war,
And every human being on the planet that have died , for another abuse of their rights.

    just my thought..

you do realise that The Guardian is a Leftist joke, right??

Did you read any of the article you linked.

What a massive “own goal” by the Argentinian malcontent.

The writer concedes that the Falklands and Gibraltar are both legally British and recognised as such by the EU, USA, and the UN.

Further, he made a factual error by writing that Gibraltar was a centre for money laundering. The Editors had to retract that and correct it to read “Spain is the centre for money laundering”.

The author simply does not feel it is justified to spend money on these BOT's.

    That is his personal opinion.

Gibraltar, like the Falklands, is self- sufficient except for Defense.

It is YOU and Spain that they must defend themselves from.

Both BOT's are “fully EU compliant”.

Read the Comments - the author is torn apart for basically, lying about taxes and other issues.

Nobody takes him seriously except you.

99% of the world is against British colonialism.....lol

Oh dear, Paul is that the best you can do.

Let me tell you about British colonialism....

Every single solitary former British colony is now governed as the people who live there have decided. That is a quarter of the people of the world self-determining their own futures.

You may argue that the 13 US states had to fight a war in the 1700s for this right, and you may also argue that 5 million Irish too had to fight....but the remaining billions all received independence and self government peacefully.

Compare perhaps to the fall of other empires.

Compare the Commonwealth to other former empires.

Seems like 1/4 of the world support what has come from British colonialism by being in the commonwealth.

    The other 75% are irrelevant.....

As far as the Falklands are concerned, Argentinas claim had nothing to do with colonialism, it is to do with greed, envy and inferiority complex.

“and they must be greatly disappointed when they get there, facing a failing economy, and racial and ethnic prejudice from the likes of you.
I suspect fewer and fewer South Americans will aspire to
more to Argentina in the future.”

”On the other hand, the lack of diversity certainly leaves the population with a certain lack of sensitivity when it comes to issues of race. Although the country is refreshingly free of the PC-induced fear which paralyzes so much of the racial discourse in the United States, the climate in Argentina also includes a surprising amount (at least for me) of offensive, or at least borderline racial comments. Earlier this year the federal government's National Institute Against Discrimination, Xenophobia and Racism (INADI) published a study that found discrimination against foreigners to be the most common form of discrimination in Argentina. Bolivians were the number one target, while Peruvians and Paraguayans also made the list.“

    http://www.discoshawn.com/2007/07/there-is-no-racism-in-argentina.html?m=1

”I've witnessed a lot of racism here towards Bolivians, Peruvians, and Paraguayans. I'm wondering if there is any toward expats. “

”“One time i was talking with argentinian friends and they were saying not so nice things about immigrants. I asked who were the immigrants, and they said the bolivians, paraguayans”

“ I hear a lot of negative comments about Bolivians, Peruvians, Paraguayans, Chilenos, Colombianos and sometimes even Uruguayos.”

“”Racism and racial discrimination are deeply rooted in the Society check how many non.European members are in Congress...! Or for that purpose on TV screens. It's not only against foreigners from neighboring countries, but also against Negros“

”In the social scale, europeans and americans are at the top, even the british!! and the bolivians, peruvians and paraguayans at the bottom. ”

@55 I have seen many Argentine women, wives of former colleagues and friends, and I must say one or two are quite acceptable as persons but mainly sorely lacking in femininity and dress sense. I have more admiration for tropical beauties from Colombia, Panamá and Central America.

I am not interested in the “hottest” women as a teenage would be. I am interested in mature women with good dress sense and grooming who can hold their own in competition with men, socially and professionally, and are discreet in their femininity. Argentine women do not fall in to this category - Chilean women, in fact, do and women from the areas I have mentioned are invariably perfection!

This line has been done to death in a previous forum and may be suitable for randy teenagers with no perspective on womankind other than as objects of carnal desire. The articles quoted are based on racial stereotyping and dismiss about 3 billion of the world's population. No African, Indian ,Chinese, Indonesians rate a mention.

Do you actually believe this pubescent rubbish ?

Yes, he does. He is a teenager. “Everything Argentine is the best” and he has no personal experience in the matter to make a judgement himself.

Is that a Maxim article, or Teenbeat?

You obviously have a difficulty in comprehending the English language.
    ”As far as i -( should be capital I ) remember “
Read my post on this again-nowhere did I express ” interest about hiring the services of beautiful girls” .
This is your sloppy comprehension of what I said.

Do you actually believe that article you quoted in #58 ?
Discuss it with your mother and see what she says.

I have come to the conclusion that paulcedron is actually an adult but the years he has spent in special educational establishments have stunted his development and left him as if he were a child of thirteen years. At least, that is how he comes across here!
