The Gibraltar Football Association has announced that UEFA President Michel Platini will visit Gibraltar on Saturday and attend the Rock Cup final.

 Mr. Platini will be accompanied by Theodore Theodoridis, UEFA Deputy General Secretary, Jean Francois Domergue Head of Football Development at UEFA, and Kevin Lamour, Head of President’s Office.

Mr. Platini will be pay a courtesy call on Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and will spend time with the GFA Council and dignitaries, as well as meeting the Presidents of Gibraltar’s local clubs.

He will then watch the ‘Rock Cup’ Final as ‘Guest of Honor’ and will be introduced to both teams prior to kick off, as well as presenting the ‘Rock Cup’ to the winners after the game.

Once the final is over the UEFA delegation will be leaving Gibraltar.

    The last paragraph makes me laugh.

    They should be requested to drive through to Spain and experience the Spanish welcome, it lasts for hours sometimes.
