Brazilian World Cup host city Manaus has declared a state of emergency as the waters of an Amazon River tributary swell, although officials say they do not expect it to flood. Read full article

    I think floodwater is to be expected if you put a stadium in the middle of a gigantic rainforest, riverine region.
    Perhaps they would have been better putting it in the Sertao.
