Peru’s newly named interior minister has acknowledged being formally accused of murder in the 1988 killing of a journalist when he was a young army intelligence officer fighting Shining Path rebels.     So “somebody” killed a journalist and dynamited his body some 26 years ago during an ambush?

    Mmm. I bet the current crop of journalists are treading lightly around this guy. Perhaps they would prefer The Shining Path to interview NOT.

    Sadly Latin America has a long way to travel before joining the First World.

    I am encouraged by the Pacific Alliance and hugely concerned about Venezuela and the ALBA countries.

    Argentine will have to default thus destroying any EU deal and dragging down Brazil etc.
