    A sad, sad reflection on Brasil in general, and SP in particular.
    Having to resort to this?

    Agreed.

    This is reminiscent of India where a horrific cultural attitude to women is still widely prevalent.

    Ready to join the modern world? I think not.

    However, the fact that this molestation and harrassment has been recognised, and some form of action has been taken, is a mark of progress I suppose....

    @2,
    Yep, worked there for over a year, small towns on the East coast, not the places tourists see.
    A very bad way to regard women in general, very insecure about their masculinity I thought.

    “But the ladies love us to grope them” came the claim from all the hot blooded Brazilians banged up in the poloice cells.

    Pathetic examples of SA “men”.

    I remember when many British trains had 'women only' sections and all had 'no smoking' sections as well as sections reserved for the rich.
    The women-only sections were decommissioned around the time that Savile, Harris and thousands of others were doing their predatory thing.
    Ironic, or what.
    .................
    Salvador have avoided the problem of women-groping on the Metro ... they have steadfastly refused to commission their Metro over the decades of its build.
