The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) announced the appointment of Gustavo De Rosa as Finance Manager and Chief Financial Officer, effective November 1, 2014.
Mr. De Rosa, an Argentine citizen, has been the Chief Risk Officer of the IDB since September 2011. Prior to that, he was the Managing Director and Chief Risk and Operating Officer at ING Belgium S.A. in Madrid, and held several management positions within ING Bank in Argentina, the Netherlands and Spain. He has a Master’s Degree in Banking Management from the Center for Macroeconomic Studies (CEMA) of Argentina and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE).
De Rosa will be responsible for the mobilization and administration of the IDB's financial resources, both assets and liabilities. He will manage the Bank’s liquidity, accounting and financial records, and will oversee relations with financial markets and intermediaries. The IDB is the leading source of multilateral financing for Latin America and the Caribbean.
The IDB Group also comprises the Inter-American Investment Corporation, which focuses on small and medium-sized companies and the Multilateral Investment Fund, which supports small and medium-sized businesses and microfinance.
