With Messi and the generous blessings of the American government, they could possibly score a goal or two, but I think the Dutch will win.

An all European Final in South America would be a more attractive proposition.

    Wow....luck did help them!
Poor tactics by Van Gaal.....why on earth play De jong when he can't play for 90mins so you lose one sub and why start penalties with a central defender? The Dutch Gareth Southgate!

Enjoying the videos being sent over by friends in Buenos Aires. People singing and partying on Corrientes, and it all looks peaceful and fun.

Imagine if they win on Sunday, it will be a week-long party.

    @16

If they win, they'll party for a week. Then they'll wake up and realize that they're flat broke...

...and that you can't actually eat a World Cup...

Ouch! That's a bit below the belt. Why the handbags?
Politics aside, football is a sport for everybody so fair play to the fans who support their country, especially, as Elaine says, if it's done in a peaceful and fun manner.

Football is a fun sport for everyone like you say. But it is also a distraction, for good or bad, from all the daily troubles of the fans. And like all other things politicians can use it to divert attention away from all the things they are doing wrong.

”Our countries have enjoyed 200 years of common interests and shared values”

Which is why in 1831 the USS Lexington kicked off most of Vernet's settlement ?

Not that Vernet did not deserve it but Kerry has a most selective historic memory.

A somewhat obtuse statement on a parallel with “25 years”.

Did Hilary Clinton tell you this personally ?

So, when are you going to rectify the situation? Your time is limited.

    “Limited”?

    Oo, goosebumps and shivers... !

Will it be before or after, the Falklands mysteriously become Argentine?

Before or after Argentina pays your “Granny ”?

Forget your “peaceful” use of nuclear energy
anytime before Falklands become Argentine - 25yrs. +

You'll be back to coal oil very soon...

    “Your time is limited”

    Your English comprehension is poor.

OBTUSE, definition of:- Difficult to understand, especially deliberately so:

I don't know how many “Europeans” post on this site. There is no such nationality. We are British who live at the edge of the European continent no more....no less.

How can I be “ already aware of your ”failure“ and the displeasure that the US feels.” against the UK ? Rectify WHAT situation ?

Explain US displeasure and for what.
Time is limited ? Another of your 25 years pronouncement.

As the Rd Indian chiefs used to say in Hollywood films. White man “woman” speaks in riddles.
