Jul 24th, 2014 - 06:38 am - Link - Report abuse 0I imagine it will end up back in Argentina one way or another as that is where it's value lies.

I wonder if any of the nationalistic trolls will be bidding to bring it back home?
Anyone know why this is being sold now?
As far as I am concerned, they can melt it down and tun it into something useful, such as nails or steel frames.
Jul 24th, 2014 - 10:54 am - Link - Report abuse 0Enough of this sick cult to peron y evita, who were nothing but a couple of fascists SOBs.
Exceptional car in its day, the Type 75 Caddie Limo.
Jul 24th, 2014 - 11:24 am - Link - Report abuse 05.4L with 160 hp, about 16 mpg (Imperial)! Modern cars develop that from 2L capacity and give almost 40mpg average.
A restored model of this car can be had for U$D 50K (~GBP 29,300) so they are expecting over eight times as a premium and the car is not pristine.
Some argie might buy it for that money, wanting a piece of the Madman and his whore, no-one else will.
I wonder if the jewel came from a Nazi?
Only worth about £5,000. The remaining value will be all the $ bills stuffed in the hidden compartments.
Jul 24th, 2014 - 11:34 am - Link - Report abuse 0I understand why it being sold in the UK. That is where the the international market place for this type of item is located.
Jul 24th, 2014 - 11:52 am - Link - Report abuse 0Also because the price will be realised in £/€ or $, not in Pesos (or yuans!).
But what lies behind the sale.? Most countries would fight to keep a similar item in country.
Anyone know?
One of the last relics of a tin pot dictator and his low class flashy wife.
Jul 24th, 2014 - 12:40 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Nice car. The back seat is a bit worn though.

Jul 24th, 2014 - 08:53 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Yet 2.3bn people are currently being represented in Glasgow at the Commonwealth games. The Commonwealth, hmm...united in a common history.
Seems plenty of mutual respect there.
However, does anyone respect Argentinas government.
A group of corrupt, lying, thieving shitdogs.
What is incredible is that it seems they are capable of making Argentines believe they are Argentina.
Insult the government, insult Argentina.
Question the government, question Argentina
Criticise the government, criticise Argentina.
In a developed country, the government is separate from the nation.
So no, I have no respect for any Peronist, or any supporter of Peronism. They are either scum or stupid.
Who is this weird troll Alistair Nigel(EUian)? As his English is barely readable one can only assume he is a troll supporter of la Kretina and her ilk!
Jul 24th, 2014 - 08:55 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Ok, no respect of Peronist no respect Argentina. Simple, your right think so.
Jul 24th, 2014 - 08:56 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Not your right pretend you not insult Argentina when insult Peron.

Jul 25th, 2014 - 10:58 pm - Link - Report abuse 0ha
these british are thieves, nothing to do about it
The car isn't in very good taste, is it? But nor were Perón and his missus. The Brazilians got an extremely elegant convertible Rolls Royce for their president, still in use.
Jul 25th, 2014 - 11:11 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@19 oh my!
Jul 26th, 2014 - 02:52 am - Link - Report abuse 0You really are stupid aren't you?
The British are not selling nor buying the crappy car. They own the MARKET, and will take a % from both the seller and the buyers.
The British have no interest in the car. They just take commission on the sale.
Obviously you don't understand business, do you dearie?
This is why you are poor.
@ 19 Polly
Jul 26th, 2014 - 12:51 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The expected price range in U$D is 340,000 to 442,000 you idiota.
Only an idiot will pay that sort of money so it WILL be a Peronista.
21 & 22 / dumb & dumber.
Jul 26th, 2014 - 07:48 pm - Link - Report abuse 0it seems you, imbeciles x 1000, do not understand that is the auction house who prices the car.
they along with the owner expect a price of 300.000 dollars.
and of course, you imbeciles x 10.000, the buyer will be argentinian.
i don´t think an islander for instance would be interested in a car that belonged to peron, and clearly you will not find an islander with 300.000 dollars in your whole f*ck*ng life.
Anyone know WHY they are selling the car now?
Jul 26th, 2014 - 09:27 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I like the fact that a British auction house will make a profit from selling this old Argentine crap to someone. Probably some absolute mug from Argentina!

He's jobless and broke with NO money at all, just like the rest of the argies.
I have no idea what he thinks the expected price range is there for.
