They have. The Argentine's practical solution is not to pay up and whinge to everyone that 'it's not our fault we borrowed the money, it's someone elses' and avoid everything to resolve the problem by burying their heads in the sand and denying their is a problem.
After all, it is the good people of Argentina that will suffer, not the rich politicians who can't deal with reality.
@3 Argentina can't pay what it promised to pay, it's completely unfeasable and everyone (except maybe Griesa) knows it. Triggering RUFO would be a financial catastrophe for Argentina comparable to Germany's war reparations after WWI, maybe even worse.
Kev Babe, what did you do to get billetted to RG? On the land mass to relevancy scale RG is the least significant minor fifedom in the hemisphere. At least you have cheesy pizza!

Argentina paying what they said they were going to pay would be a terrible problem. The banks are making this terrible problem.
