Aug 20th, 2014 - 03:43 pm - Link - Report abuse 0It seems to be proving difficult to get away with criminal behavior outside of Argentina.
Americans are such fools. Destroying jobs in underpriviledged areas.
Aug 20th, 2014 - 03:50 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I'm sure that will call the Racial Holy War down.
#6 Surely the jobs are being destroyed by the Argentine owner .......... Unless you are suggesting ha has another motive other than investing $50m and using local workers to renovate the place.
Aug 20th, 2014 - 04:09 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Shock horror breaking news Argentine is a liar.
Of course 300 staff at vague earnings of $40k will save him $12m so if he is telling the truth he will be putting more money into the economy this year while closed AND the business he would have previously generated will go to legitimate businesses not laundering stolen money for the Kirchners.
Laundering operators typically do not keep they entities going for very long. I am sure you will not find the Lopez will not be found on US soil soon if not already.
Aug 20th, 2014 - 04:28 pm - Link - Report abuse 0But wait!!! 300 jobs lost......this must be an act of terrorism...........Bring out the economic terrorist police and the dollar dogs.
Better yet:
Meanwhile, the Division of Parimutuel Wagering could have a say on whether the facility will be allowed to close at all.
The company needs the agency’s approval before it can alter its jai alai schedule and the division is still reviewing it,’’ said Tajiana Ancora-Brown, spokeswoman for the agency. State law requires that the facility perform a certain number of performances to maintain its permit.”

If somebody shouted SINGER at the top of their voice in Casa Rosada TMBOA would need a clean set of knickers or the carpets washing.
Aug 20th, 2014 - 04:38 pm - Link - Report abuse 0It's still funny after three and a half years of MP. :o)
They used to have Jai Alai up here in the northeast.....Hartford actually. He was forced to close because the links to the mob and corruption. I thought Miami's finally closed as well...........oh well. 6 months after opening smells like an investigation in the works.

Aug 20th, 2014 - 10:16 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Why don't you people worry about he coming hoardes of head-chopping BRITISH MUSLIM EXTREMISTS from ISIS, instead of some old debt?
Aug 21st, 2014 - 01:15 am - Link - Report abuse 0We don't worry about Singer but you should worry about a Londoner called John.

It begs the question if Britain is such a successful nation why are so many people there so disaffected to the point they literally set fire to the country in 2011, and today who knows how many dozens have left to join these truly barbaric turds out in the middle of nowhere, leaving supposedly wonderful Britain behind.

Sorry...
, we are not just going to forget all about the government that systematically set about absconding with other people's money, ignoring their commitments, and then defying and defaming the authorities and courts they agreed to abide by...
just because ANOTHER bunch of loonies is pursuing their own violent and selfish agenda, ALSO.

Aug 21st, 2014 - 06:28 am - Link - Report abuse 0The amusing thing is, they are so driven to distraction over it, they do not even see that Singer is already enjoying a victory - watching the fools become so preoccupied with dodging the bullet.
And Singer hasn't done anything... yet!
Wait until he is seen to be observing their assets.
Already, Libertad probably doesn't stray from port.
Tango One does the loop to Venezuela, Cuba, and back, nothing more.
Timmerman has his account frozen at the Neiman-Marcus men's wear Section in NYC.
Alicia has to chain her 7 Series to a lamp post whenever she leaves the garage.
Now , Elvis never will get that tie he couldn't afford...
Troy....I think it's funny that one launderer opens 150 businesses in Nevada...the other spends millions to open a business the tries to close it after 6 months for renovations (only the gaming commission says.....uh uh uh not so fast). Not the brightest launderer's now are they? I may not like Singer's scavenging business.......but I love the show he is putting on. yb is right........wait down the road for what else he finds.
Aug 21st, 2014 - 09:31 am - Link - Report abuse 0...pass the popcorn!
There are not many people that manage to run a casino at a loss !
Aug 21st, 2014 - 02:24 pm - Link - Report abuse 0#24 think of it this way......like a Venezuelan. Not many countries have the world's largest proven oil reserves and are broke and poor.
