An estimated 36.500 tourists and 54 vessels expected this coming Antarctic season

During the upcoming Antarctic season, from November through March, 36,545 tourists are expected to visit, according to estimates compiled by the International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators (IAATO). That’s a slight dip from the 37,405 who visited in 2013-14, which was a 9 percent increase from the previous year. Read full article

    Yes and 24.5% of visitors are also from countries that share the same monarch as the Falkland Islands (islets).

    Paulcedron- care me to number likley tourist total and the names of ships that are booked to do passenger turnarounds in Stanley this coming season?
    Not many I agree thanks to your countries air embargo on charter flights coming in via Chile - but some stilldo- amd more are determined to do in future as they get more and more pissed off by the level of corruption and backpocket ripoffs a-la-argentina.
    Shall I also list the ones that although they load their passengers in Ushuaia - load most of their foodstuffs and stores in Stanley 2 days later simply because they cannot trust unreliable and high priced ripoff Arg suppliers?
