The virus thrives in Africa due to the general culture, and lack of education.

So easy to contain is this virus.

    It's not airborne you know.

The solution is straightforward. Quarantine. Identify relevant areas. No-one out, no-one in. Then, go in and incinerate the remains as well as 100 yards around. Establish the temperature at which the virus is totally incinerated. Flamethrowers, tamped fuel-air explosions, nukes. Whatever it takes. And move those infected to somewhere that doesn't matter to anyone. Guess!!!

@1, actually the mortality rate of this outbreak is running at about 55% and that's with crappy healthcare provision and difficult working conditions for emergency response teams.

Ebola also isn't that transmissable. As above, it's not airborne and the short(ish) incubation period makes it pretty easy to screen.

Don't get me wrong, it's awful for the people who get it, but if we are going to end up wiped out by a pandemic, ebola won't be the one to do it.

    true,
but one has to suspect that one kind of pandemic could well be governments
who lie and deceit to us all to save themselves,

    just a spreading thought.
