Who could have ever imagined that North America would surpass Saudi Arabia as the world’s largest producer of oil and natural gas liquids? A decade ago, that would have seemed laughable. Yet that’s exactly what has happened; and it’s not just Saudi Arabia that has been left in North America’s dust -- Russia has, too. Read full article

Last month, the key word is MONTH, we sent U$40 BILLION less to the Mid East.

As I've said, this O/G in the USA is a world wide game changer. The last 40 yrs is not going to look like the next 40 yrs. Nat Gas is so cheap it is not cheaper to mfg in the USA than almost anywhere else in the world. You'll see the mfg numbers increase significantly in the near future as companies set up or revive their mfg here.
You'll also see our trade deficit change to a positive again.
There is no other country in the world that has the capital, infrastructure and innovated productive people like the USA.
    Just wait.

Apparently Saudi Arabia has passed ‘peak oil’, some say a while ago now, and it is all downwards from here.

It won’t be long before their usefulness as an oil producer is overtaken by them being a promoter of Muslim extremism of epic proportions. If they are really lucky their country will be turned into a sheet of glass.

My hope is that the next prez declares them a terrorist state and nationilizes all their govt and royal assets in the USA as reparations.

    “One terrorist attack”.

Hasn't the U.S. already been the recipient of terrorist attacks? Is it “done”?

    And as a result:

    - You went to wars that have killed thousands of your soldiers, maimed many more, and mentally destroyed countless others. All those leave a huge societal burden and atrophy

    - You have spent 3 TRILLION (which you didn't have) on such wars, and counting. Now you may have to go in back to Iraq, PLUS Syria, plus who knows where next. You don't have the money. Imagine if another terrorist attack happens. Where do you get 3 or 4 more TRILLION dollars? You would go bankrupt. The alternative is you can't retaliate.

    - As a result of 2001, your Federal Reserve kept interest rates artificially low for two years at near zero. This coincides directly for inflating the massive speculative bubble of real estate between 2003-2006. This then burst like a bunch of nuclear bombs in your economy and wrecked you and Europe for 6 years!! (2007-2013). Only today you are having a tepid recovery.

    - You have lost many freedoms, from free travel all over the world, to airport facism, to the government recording all your calls, e-mails, to police in your country being militarized by your gov (directly leading to major abuses and killing of citizens). You have become a police state in many ways, and a 1984-like society in a very short time.

And all of the above just due to ONE attack.

Think after all that the psychological devastation that another worse attack would do. Just look how a very minor attack in Boston last year shook you.

Silly child come and see the glory of the USA and you'll understand why every RG I bring here says “They have no idea”. They all want to stay. Even working as an illegal.

Don't bother...it's the same ole crap everywhere....same strip malls....same franchises, doesn't matter if you are in Florida or the North it's the same....opps I tell a lie if you are in the South you will see Dillards in the Malls alongside JC Penney, but not in the North..and you will get Gander Mountain (my favourite) in the east, but not the west
Unless you live in a city where there is public transport it's drive, drive and drive everywhere....

What an extremely shallow observation of the US. Not up to your usual pedantic posts.

I'd correct you, but you already know you are wrong.

I heard only New York and perhaps Boston have proper enough transportation that you can live without a car. That is absolutely embarrassing.

Unless you can't afford a car.... not always possible in your country....
Yes, the US is over reliant on this form of eco-unfriendly transport, but it doesn't make it a failure.
Give argentines a choice, pedestrian, bus or car. What do they chose, money not withstanding?
    hmm...

Cars aren't a luxury here. We don't use them as a savings account. Everyone can afford one.
BTW there are plenty of large cities that have great public transport you're clearly misinformed.

Voice, if you go to lower middle class places yes they have the same stores and restaurants catering to them. You should try going to nicer places. I can't remember the last time I was is a mall. How awful.
