Ukrainian armed forces must haste to gain a decisive victory and break the rebel forces of the East before more military aid gets to them from Russia. If not the economy will collapse and the lines stabilize

Though the article is nothing more thank a whinge by someone impacted by legal changes in Ukraine. The simply fact is that Ukraine is heading for the mother of all depressions.

However saying that, it will also have the mother of all booms when it comes to rebuilding. Ukraine is not rolling over like Georgia did and like Putin wishes. Putin has lost Ukraine for good, something no Russian leader has ever done before. Ukraine will finally break free of Russia's poisonous version of civilisation and perhaps finally flourish by looking West instead of East.

Ukraine will be relieved to lose Crimea but Putin's hope of a frozen conflict in Ukraine's East festering away and destabilising isn't looking as easy as he would have liked.

I'm sorry to disappoint you but Russia will always hold significant leverages over the Ukraine. Even if Kiev wins the war against the rebels.
You need a dictator in Ukraine in order to prevent the FSB and russian agents play any party of the Ukranian parliament and politics likeTimoschenko was played

Both the USA and the UK have a defence agreement with the Ukraine to defend it from outside aggression.
    The aggression is indisputably happening.
