Argentina lashes Griesa for not making a final decision on the Citibank dispute

Saturday, September 27th 2014 - 09:24 UTC

Argentina's Economy minister Axel Kicillof lashed out at US Judge Thomas Griesa after he authorized Citibank a one-off payment of Argentine bonds' coupon next Tuesday saying he once again failed to address the heart of the issue and also in fact recognized that bonds under Argentine law do not belong to his jurisdiction. IT'S ALL GRIESA'S FAULT!

Yeah, of course it is Kickitoff.

I thought Griesa bent over backwards to reach this decision: he should have just told them to obey the ruling or pay U$D 50K PER DAY in contempt.

The Dark Country, the rogue nation of the World: what an accolade.

The damage is already done, Elvis. You've brought rotting roadkill to the edge of despair. Soy harvests are filling burgeoning silos and prices will plummet destroying any chance at a future respite. Your oil prospects are vastly overstated. In short, your demise is gaining speed. The arbolito IS twice the blanco. You'll have to institute massive devaluations or it will be trippled before elections. Doom on you.

Your Gringo Amigos salute you for your efforts at destroying rotting roadkill.

Axel Kicillof is an idiot of the highest order.

I hope that Judge Griesa does find him AND argentina in contempt of his ruling.

I also hopes that he takes a copy of his ruling and stuffs it right up Kicillof's rusty sheriffs badge.

Let argentina seal it's own fate by “nationalising” ( stealing ) Citibank. Oh please, let them be THAT stupid!!

The International Monetary Fund is resisting pressure to lend more money to Argentina

The International Monetary Fund has said in a Friday meeting it will not lend more money to Argentina because the country is in arrears on repaying previous loans. The IMF's specialist Latin American team told the WSJ new loans were out of the question.

“We cannot in the current situation, because Argentina runs arrears with the Fund and also other institutions like the World Bank and The Latin American Development Bank,” he said.

The group also expressed concern about the government spending more than three quarters of tax revenues to pay the “unsustainable and unaccountable bloated budget.”

One member of the group was quoted, “The country, to grow, needs investment. This does not happen. There is no money, there is not enough support and all the money that is generated through tax collection goes into paying the wages,” he said.

Argentina always takes the attitude that it can pick and choose on which laws are applicable, and when. They think they are being clever.
    They're not.
Any outside observer can simply weigh up the facts. It is outstandingly clear that the current administration is in the process of driving the bus off a cliff.

@25. Oh no. Let's talk about Twinky. Should we comment on an argie 'patriot' residing anywhere but in argieland. Last time I recall he was living off the state in Denmark. He uses the language of “the master race”. I wonder why when we 'Anglos' have beaten them twice. Perhaps it's something to do with the number of nazi war criminals that fled to argieland. Why would nazis flee to argieland? Similar mindset? The nazis were pretty anti-Anglo. And argieland wouldn't be Aryan. Would it be untermenschen? Twinky uses “Herrschaft und Knechtschaft”. “Herrschaft” is, of course a sociological term (Max Weber) and refers to “Authority”. “Knechtschaft” means “bondage”. The Germans have always liked bondage. Usually women dominating men. Strange that Twinky knows about that. I had to look it up. The end of WW2 saw some realities. After years of 'neutrality' and brown-nosing Hitler, argieland decided it was on the allied (Anglo) side. In Germany, they submitted to “Authority”. Anglo authority. And so we can see the basis of the psychosis. The EVIDENCE shows that 'Anglos' are properly dominant. But we listen to others and try to achieve fairness. That's responsibility. Then there's the second class, like the Germans. It's all about power. Take away the power and they have nothing. Suddenly they become submissive. Then there are the lower classes. They'd like to dominate but they can't because they're cowards. They can't be fully submissive because their psychosis gets in the way. They think they're better than they are. But, every way they turn, the truly powerful are already there. In 1982, it took Britain 54 days to defeat argieland. Had they not been lucky enough to destroy the bulk of our helicopters, it might have been 34 days or less. And so Twinky is revealed for what he is. Impotent and outmatched. He may even be physically impotent. Reliant on charity. Isn't that like argieland? “Lend us money, but don't ask for it back”. It's all pretension. No substance. Just lies!

As somebody that was present in court during the emergency hearing requested by Citibank; Friday, October 26, with all due respect; I don't think the author of this article understood Judge Griesa decision. The important issue that was debated in this hearing, is that there is NO proof yet, that the Argentina bonds issued under Argentina Law, are all “domestic bonds”. It appears, that in the arguments put forward by the plaintiffs (the so call vultures) lawyers during the hearing on Friday, that indeed many of this bonds were “foreign debt”. Meaning
were offer and bought outside Argentina. If this is the case (and of course has to be proven in court) this bonds then are covered by his “passu ruling”.
Therefore judge Griesa, ordered the lawyers for both Argentina and plaintiffs to returned to his court in 30 days (the time he is allow for discovery) and present
convincing proof that that some or perhaps many of this Argentina bonds can be considered “foreign debt”.
