Judge Griesa made a good judgement regarding the original case bought by the holdout hedge funds and the fact that Argentina broke their undertaking to abide by his decision by wheedling the law to suit them in no way alters or questions the validity of the ruling.

Citibank should make their mind up. Do they want to hunt with the weasel or run with the terriers that are more than capable of killing the weasel?

    Bit of a no-brainer.

Your understanding of the world will increase immeasurably once you have grasped this simple fact.

and banks are subject to laws - finance laws and contract law.

For them, as your economy circles the toilet bowl, doing business in Argentina has diminishing returns vs International opportunity as a bank in NYC.

What do you think they're going to do?

Once again you demonstrate your utter inability to grasp everyday concepts so I will explain it to you and the other numbnut argies so that the multi-layered effect related to The Dark Country can be understood by the simplest of minds.

Weasels are vicious predators and the only thing they can be trusted to do is kill farm livestock. The livestock is vital to the commercial success of the farm and provides money to all the workers. Any reduction in their money caused by the weasels leaves many families hungry. In this scenario can you guess who the weasels are? Now come on, stretch those three brain cells of yours to the maximum. No, OK I will explain: they are TMBOA and her gang of crooks who are stealing the money which belongs to the people. Got it now, well bear it in mind.

Now here come the terriers! Read this carefully so that you can understand what is happening this time. Terriers are used on farms around the housing and buildings to keep the small livestock: chickens and foraging pigs safe from predators, especially weasels. Terriers are hearth dogs and also look after the people who care for them; they are friendly and playful with all humans and guard children to the death. My Staffordshire Bull Terrier had the heart of a lion and she considered herself the biggest dog she knew: she was gentle and loving and literally a terror to anybody who tried anything on. Weasels would not stand a chance agaist a terrier: FACT. Weasels are solitary animals and haven’t grasped the fact that if only they combined into a pack they would stand a better chance of surviving until a pack of terriers came along.

Guess who the terriers are? Come on, it must be obvious even to you dumb idiotas. YES, it’s the majority of the world except for your arsehole mates like NK, etc.

So remember: the terriers already have you by the bollocks (or tits in your case), and when they start shaking you from side to side while gripping your throat you DIE!

Argentina Found in Contempt by N.Y. Bond Fight Judge
By Bob Van Voris Sep 29, 2014 1:16 PM PT Bloomberg

Argentina has been found in contempt of court by a U.S. judge overseeing a bond dispute between the South American nation and hedge funds holding defaulted bonds.

U.S. District Judge Thomas Griesa in Manhattan made the ruling today and said he’d decide on a penalty later.

Investment firms led by Paul Singer’s Elliott Management Corp. urged the judge to find Argentina in contempt for failing to abide by his orders to pay the defaulted debt. A contempt ruling undermines “the dignity of foreign states,” Argentina said in urging Griesa to deny the hedge funds’ request.

The ”US' section of this site has been inundated with articles on this subject for well over a month. A casual reader would have to form the opinion that the the most important US foreign relationship is that it has with Argentina. But this is not the case. The fact is that the the US - Argentinian relationship is not even the most important of all the Mercosul countries.

Meanwhile there is an election campaign in Brazil. And the outcome of those elections are far more important to the US than a minor legal dispute with a minor country. Yet there has been very little election reporting here and any that has appeared has been very superficial.

I suppose its unrealistic to expect it to be otherwise on a British government run propaganda site.
