“generate energy at a price that is competitive with other sources of energy in that country”

So it will continue to be the most expensive consumer electricity on the planet: or it feels like it.

It is SO expensive that most citizens cannot afford more than than lighting, a small TV and a fridge.

But heh, “No Money Pepe” continues to allow UTE to do WTF they like: I wonder why?

I think Uruguay is the second most expensive with Chile being first. There is a simple solution, which is for Paraguay to be allowed to transmit their hydroelectric power to Uruguay. (But we know that's not going to happen...)

Thanks for that, I agree about Paraguay: that's disgraceful but too typical for SA.

Come on people, say it, you are envious of Uruguay and Pepe! I am envious too, but I confess it. This type of ventures reveals the true stature of this country's people and government. Argentina needs to cultivate these sources of energy. In Patagonia we have more wind than you could ever wish for. The day we begin installing those turbines we'll hear the howls from heralds of gloom and doom such as you guys.

You need to educate yourself about these devices in a scientific manner, so as you are an argie I suggest you go a decent university in the USA or the UK, if you can afford it.

Don't waste your time in TDC or Uruguay, they know nothing.

You probably ignore Argentina has just become one of eight countries in the world to build its own communications satellite.
USA and UK universities? Yes why not...some better than others...but will take any time an upgrade in Latin America. Perhaps less material resources, but excellent academics.
But then again, why bother with facts that may threaten your comfortable view of the world?

No I didn't, because you have yet to find out if it works!

TMBOA has been VERY quiet so far after the euphoria of the launch which took place in another country on somebody else's rocket.

How about a little bet that there is NO announcement from Casa Rosada?

    Whatever, Chris!
When it works, then it will be “oh yes but it will break down soon!” “It will be hit by an asteroid” and so on.
Here you have another one for free: “Anyhow-why those Argies in the provinces need to watch Cristina on TV after all?”

I suspect that if you asked them, they would agree.

Listening to TMBOA rave on for two hours would be enough for most INTELLIGENT argies to shoot themselves, I would imagine.
