The number of United Kingdom businesses receiving export support has increased by 50% in the last financial year, Trade Minister Lord Livingston announced on Monday. This translates into a total of 47,960 businesses in 2013 to 2014 which exported for the first time or found new markets through its extensive network of specialists in the UK and in British embassies around the world. Apologies to all the posters who wish to have a genuine debate on current articles but I won't let this go.
paulcedron has clearly stated that the UK is a Third World Country.
This article says differently, I am interestested in his response.
    Meanwhile, let us consider this;

    http://en.mercopress.com/2014/10/18/fallon-visits-gibraltar-and-reaffirms-uk-support-to-deal-with-unlawful-spanish-incursions#comment359883

    Dear oh dear!
Paulie do you really, really believe that the UK is a Third World Country?
Do you honestly think that is true?
If you don't believe it, why say it and look foolish. And a liar.
If you do believe it, please provide me with some peer-reviewed evidence. Evidence that is strong enough to convince the other 7 billion+ people on the planet that they are wrong.
Come on, the world awaits your revelation. Or your abject apology for being a twat.

    9 ASS

    WHITLAM:
Labour Prime Minister in the 70's

Brought in National Health and Legal Aid.

Both good things, but sounds like his Fiscal policies and attempted challenges to the Constitution, forced him out of Office.

Whitman left behind as Australia went on to prosperity and greatness.
A real Socialist icon for people ASS

    Here is the Wiki entry,
Note that it was edited by “Gaia Octavian Agrippa” just 14 minutes before I accessed it.
Could that be you, ASS ???

    Probably a great

£49.1 billion in new money from new exports! In just one year!

@4 Troy, go back a check the headline. Pounds not dollars!
    :-)
At today's exchange rate that is just shy of US$ 80 billion.
    Awesome!
Can't wait for Polly paul-carrion to rock up and start his usual crap about Great Britain being a crap Third World Country.
    Arf!

    Oops, sorry Ilsen, you're right.

£80b in only one year, from just one facet of the UK export sector.

That's nearly equal to what Argentina owes, but can't pay - there is the difference in productivity and economic mgmt.

@1. Of course Britain is a Third World country. Highly respected in the intelligent part of America, Europe and Asia. Cedron is, of course, an arse. A brain the size and consistency of a crushed peanut. Think of a peanut in its shell. What part of cedron does it remind you of? Let's get out and crush it!
    @5, 7, 9. Wasn't Cough Whitlam a traitor?
@11. Cedron needs time. How long would it take you to find a 10-year old irrelevant article?

Whitlam also ended our involvement in the Vietnam war ( Nixon called him a Peacenik lol ), finally enabled us to develop a film industry and enabled many of our current politicians to have a tertiary education. He was a man of great wit, erudition, intelligence and arrogance. And a great character - when asked what he would say to God, having passed the pearly gates, he said: “I will treat him as an equal”.

    RIP Gough. I'll miss you...

While I mean no disrespect to the dead, or their family, I really don't see the relevance to this article.
“It has also been announced that UK food and drink exports now reach a record 150 countries,”
For a small group of Islands that is quite impressive. I expect it will go from strength to strength. Soon we will have 4G across London, Birmingham and Manchester, and that will help boost exporters even more. 4G mobile broadband, whoo! whoo!

Sunshine stop proving english isn't your native tongue.

    I said:
    “No Australian LEADER died today”

    You said:
”no Australian died today... whether you liked the man or not. He was an AUSTRALIAN (something you have just proven you are not)”

    Learn to read English first.

And while not everything he did was bad, he wasn't that great a leader. But at least he knew when to shut up, unlike Fraser and Keating that just get more and more bitter as they age.

Non story back to the article.

Why has that dickhead fake aussie got a problem with fucking swearing?
eg: AS FUC........ DIC ...HEA.... . (@7)

Either do it, or don't. Why 'mask' it?
Is he scared he will get banned? I like a good fucking swear as much as the next cunting wank-badger but he seems frightened of Mummy.
    lol!

Is anyone going to talk about the article? ffs!
US$80 billion in new exports is hardly pocket-change.
    Peace be with you all.

    'alf a mo' ilsen,

by all indications, “ASS” wishes he was a real Aussie, but we see his nose grow when he lies.

    He seems to be Aussie-phile.

    Anglotino,

Voicey appears is missing in action ever since you said you'd be away from the keyboard.

I suspect he's up in front of the Magistrate again - assault, domestic abuse, public mischief, lewd behaviour, or some such.

He appears to have taken “Think” with him, perhaps as a 'character witness'???

    :-)

Can you make him do tricks too, Troy?

Make him bark or something. Quick, before he makes another puddle on the carpet!

Obviously not here to comment on the articles are you?
Weeks ago I happened to mention one small investment in a mothballed project in vnzla and you latch onto it like a jack-russell.
Slightly psychotic behaviour. I expect you have a spreadsheet with details of all the things you think you know about posters on here.
Who cares what your car cost. You probably got ripped off as you can't see the world beyond the end of your nose. Metaphorically speaking, of course.

Care to comment on the articles yet?
