Falkland Islands veterans who arrived to 'clean up' after the war ended have finally been given their campaign medals after 32 years. David Cameron handed the servicemen the South Atlantic Medal in Downing Street on Wednesday after a long-awaited review found they should have been recognized for their service in 1982, according to a report from Dan Bloom for the MailOnline. They deserve their medals and should have had them when the others were awarded.

At least they EARNED their medals unlike the argie “Veterans” scum who ran away and got theirs for LOSING the war.

TDC: despical to the end, which is on the way and nearer than the idiots think.

“unlike the argie “Veterans” scum who ran away and got theirs for LOSING the war.”
Give the Argy veterans some credit Chris-some of the Argy's who fought in the war were born in the 1990s and travelled back in time to fight in 1982.

Though as you say, despite being time travellers and having that advantage, they still got medals for running away.

Glad these Brits got their medals, including I hope the sailors of HMS Illustrious that took over from our carriers that were themselves sunk 5 times by the Argies.

@3. Surely you aren't trying to suggest that argies would lie? http://www.falklandshistory.com/false-falklands-history.pdf Oops, there's 12 listed in one document alone. Why can't argieland find the wreck of the 'Belgrano'. They knew where it was. Outside the Total Exclusion Zone. Here's a lie, the British weren't supposed to attack argie 'assets' outside the TEZ. Except that Britain had already informed the argies, via the Swiss Embassy, that the real situation was “Anytime, anywhere”. But if it was on a covert operation inside the TEZ? Take a look at http://www.falklandshistory.com/false-falklands-history.pdf This is an argie supposed 'academic'. Read his own words “They seek to prove that when Great Britain expelled Argentina from the Falkland/Malvinas by force, only the authorities, troops and their families were evicted, and not the entire population of the islands that had existed under Argentine governance, a question of no relevance at all.” if it's a question of no relevance at all, why does he mention it? Because it's part of the argie myth. In reality, the 'population' had the option to stay, under British rule, or leave on the ARA Sarandi. The record shows that only four people, apart from the argie 'authorities', troops and their families, left on the Sarandi. But it's a step in order to return to the claim that the entire argie population was evicted. As more and more evidence was shown, argieland gradually moved away from that claim. Now Kohen, who thinks that no-one else has a memory, wants to revive it. The reality is that argies are stupid. They reckon they can say anything and it will become the truth. The real truth is that, using the principle of 'uti possidetis', argieland threw away 162 years of history on which they 'might' have been able argue. Now they have nothing. As of 14 June 1982, the Islands ARE British. Case closed.

“Surely you aren't trying to suggest that argies would lie?”

No, I am really so naïve that I really believed that Hermes was sunk 5 times, so was surprised to see it back in port and then sold to India-our biggest ever submarine I understand.
I also admit to being completely duped by Korned Beef Kate in 1982 who proclaimed (when 5 Brigade set sail )that the Ghurkas would be met with supergauchos with bigger knives than the Ghurkas.
Only, they must have been special forces or left for the Chilean border as they weren't around when the Ghurkas got Argy troops to surrender in Lafonia in double quick time or previously when the Ghurkas were told ' Sorry guys you were due to fight today but they heard you were here, shit their pants and surrendered.”
But hey if Korned Beef Kate said they were there who am I to argue?

I also believed that great, brave, army General Galteiri (well, he had loads of medals didn't he? )who told his people he would fight to the last drop of his blood for the mouldy vineyard (wherever that is-the Black Hamburg grapes at Government House)?
I was(due to being naïve beyond belief), somewhat surprised when despite being a general wanting to inspire his men, he spent most of the war shitting himself 1000 miles away in a reinforced concrete bunker under the Casa Rosada. Give him his due though, he was courageous enough to actually visit the islands well before the task force showed up.
Damn-too much elderberry wine (homemade and FAR superior to Malbec), and I've sat on a tyre.............

    Nice to see you back.

Yes the argie medal nonsense reminded me of ‘No Money Pepe’s’ best mate our drunken ex-Defence Minister no less, who was told to resign because being pissed when he had his finger on the ‘UYU Push Button’, which was connected to the Parliament and an amplified voice blared “Run away TMBOA is coming” was not much cop, was awarded a medal by TDC for not even fighting.

He said he would have fought but he was in prison all the time the war was on, a true Tupa hero! The medal was awarded to the drunk by argie Ambassador Miguel Dante Dovena , another crook of the Kirchner Couple and therefore of questionable use to Uruguay.

And they say Pepe is as white as the driven snow, but when I asked the guy who had said that had he ever seen driven snow he answered truthfully: NO!

Pity that this 'great Uruguayan volunteer ' when languishing in prison hadn't have been sprung by the Buzo Tactico and put on a Herc (theirs could fly then) , kitted out and flown to Stanley so he could have earned his medal.

What's the betting that actually he would have said“Its not me that volunteered, it's my mate over there” and chosen to stay in prison?

The drunk wouldn't have opened his mouth unless he knew there was NO chance of him ever being in a position to have to go anywhere near somebody who knew he was coming and could shoot back.

Don't forget the murdering Tupa bastards killed LONE police and other, single unarmed victims. Really brave, that bunch, NOT.

I just wish I had been in charge of the force eventually designated to deal with this scum: there wouldn't be ANY (men and women) of the cunts in government nowadays, that I CAN tell you.

The runaways would have had a little shock coming as well. Just imagine, NO Stevie, Guzz, and probably 'Lunatic'. No, they had it far too easy.
