I've said before, if the Kidiots think they can pay NML in Jan and all of a sudden they'll be able to float bonds or take loans in Jan they are very mistaken.
This default will only get worse in 2015.

    I am giddy with anticipation.

Seems the sky is turning grey over Argentina. Must be the growing number of vultures circling.
Wonder what it is like growing up knowing you are condemned as carrion to pay your parents debt?
Nice one Cristina, ruining your country for a future generation because of your misplaced pride and foolishness.

I loathe the woman. The UN should send thousands of troops as peacekeepers and appoint the Chileans as administrators.
Now I mention it, Venezuela could well benefit from something similar, but also be investigated for Human Rights abuse too.

There is nothing knew on this last development. Argentina had already asked to incorporate all the holdouts so it could negotiate with those creditors representing 7.6 per cent of the total debt.
This way, once the RUFO clause expires Dec. 31, the holdouts will have an opportunity to reach a reasonable agreement with the country, avoiding further delays and legal costs.
In the meantime, Argentina, for which the army of trolls were writing obits a few months ago, is chugging its way along, doing pretty well for a country ”pushed to (technical) default“ by a seemingly all-powerful NY judge.
The Honourable Thomas Griesa must be buying Gaviscon in bulk.
”Los muertos que vos matáis, Señor Griesa, gozan de buena salud.”

@9. Poor baby. The holdouts want 100%. Not the 7% argieland wants to pay. Meanwhile, the hedge funds continue to do business elsewhere and replenish the legal coffers. Still, keep your fingers crossed. The hedge funds might decide to settle for 95% plus interest and costs. Will argieland suddenly find that Judge Griesa has decided to levy US$500,000 per day for the contempt. Perhaps he'll send in a bill each month. US$15 million a time.
Still 'chugging' downhill, are you? Who slumped 2% in August then? Indec figures are so unreliable! How's the inflation? By the way, that 27 billion US dollars in reserves? Over 2 billion belongs to NML and friends! And that attempt to get the bond dealing rules changed at the UN? Retroactive legislation is illegal.

If that were truly the case how come only U$1.7B was built into the 2015 budget to pay off creditors?
Its pretty meaningless anyway BCRA doesn't have the free cash and there's no way for the Arg Treasury to get it either.

I do think its funny you think this will be over in Jan 2015.
    It won't be
Not even close to being over

WHAT !!! They want their money back with interest too !! Well shit, I guess the next thing they're going to want is to get it back in the same denomination that they invested it.
The logic in this is amazing. I wonder if the developed world embraces this ridiculous concept !! NAAAAAAAWWWW.

The whole time I've been watching and reading about Argentina they routinely put all of their hopes, dreams and saviour in on thing, Soy, Vaca Muerte, Brazil, Venezuela etc etc etc.
I actually love watching it, the Rg PR build up, VM will save us all, blah blah then something happens and you never hear about it again.

2015 will be fun to watch.

Some just don't get it. Whether Singer or Dart every collect a single cent from rotting roadkill - their lifestyles won't be adversely impacted in any appreciable fashion.

rotting roadkill and the rotting roadkillians are however as a result of these unresolved issues doomed to another generation of privation from a first world standard of living.

    34. I never expected 2014 to be as bad as it is I think inflation will finish out around 50%, higher than I predicted at 40%.
Also maybe you should check my posts, I said long ago the goal is not to seize cash it is to embarrass the regime.
I think they're doing quite well with that.
and its only been 2 mos
Just wait to see what they can uncover in a year.

The reason I think 2015 will be bad is they have u$12B due in payments on bonds and to Int'l banks. They have maybe U$5B, Soy will be a disaster and they won't be exporting many cars.
    I can't wait.
This year was fun next year will be even more fun to watch.

    Let the blackouts begin!!!
    oh wait they already have

Now that Dart is joining his other robber baron friends the Argies have no incentive to deal with the vultures because it just continues. Their only incentive is to pay the bond holders. That's what they are doing now - at least the European ones. Can't pay the yank bond holders because yank justice ha ha. We have proper British justice. Maybe the yanks will get an anti vulture law like everybody else.
