Disclaimer & comment rulesSounds like the RN is chummy with some LATAM navies... Do the Trolls know that?
Dec 02nd, 2014 - 06:11 am - Link - Report abuse 0Wouldn't be surprised if there is some kind of announcement of Chilean interest in Sea Ceptor/CAMM to update their ex RN Type 23s from this conference. NZ just selected it for their Anzac frigates and Brasil just announced it for their new Tamandaré corvettes.

Dec 03rd, 2014 - 01:12 am - Link - Report abuse 0Surely you are joking? They would to too embarrassed to show up, no?
Anyhoo, this shows the importance of the Expo when you have 'top brass' like these showing up.
First Sea Lord and head of the Royal Navy, Sir George Zambellas, KBC, DSC, ADC and Rear Admiral Jack Steer, head of the Royal New Zealand Navy.
Good to see that real alliances and 'real-politik' over-rides any lip-service in the region. Chile is fast becoming the only Lat-Am country to do business with. The only country that the rest of the world not only takes seriously, but also welcomes and appreciates.
An important player in the South Pacific region.
Quite impressive.
Notice how the argies bloggers are very quiet..
