    About time.

Pity it doesn't go further, like topping the government, and no, I didn't miss the 'l'.

@1. I understand. About time MADurine's 'fears' came true. Act for the people (too late) or get it through the head. Should it be side to side, from the back to the front, from the front to the back? Which one would 'improve' him? I tend to think front to back is best. Doesn't all crap come out of the back? A small round hole between the eyes. Or just something that explodes inside the empty space where a brain would be in normal people!

If you shoot your mouth off against North America long enough as Venezuela has done since Chavez, and attempt to “bring the US to it's knees” over oil pricing and currency baskets, what do you think will happen to you ?

Maduro is inept as a leader, and stifles any and all dissent by brute force in the style of the Cubans who are running his intelligence services.

Both of the legislative houses of the Americans have cited this obvious abuse of the Venezuelan people, and the sanctions (which do work, viewing Russian sanctions currently ) will no doubt be signed into law by US President Obama.

It should be understood that these sanctions are targeted at a few hundred corrupt 'boli-garchs' and not at Venezuela and the people in general. This is a very measured response aimed at disabling the financial dealings in the USA of those officials who are implicated in Human Rights abuses in Vnzla, not at the country in general.
Of course Maduro will cry 'foul' and 'coup-attempt' and anything else that suits his agenda. However this just brings further examination of the situation by non-aligned interested parties.
A good thing, in my opinion.
    Sunlight is the best disinfectant.
Let the global spotlight shine on this corrupt regime!

I am amazed that the country is still in one piece. As a house of cards there are so many missing base cards that is is only a matter of time before it crashes. This will certainly expedite the collapse of the corrupter's.

The bonds are at a 16 year low........running out of cash. Now they are cutting budget spending from their “extravagant” expenditures of the past....their words not mine. They had many years to rake in the cash from oil like the Saudi's to prepare for this. How does an oil rich country go broke and keep their people in rags and poverty? I hope the bus drive gets the lead he well deserves.
