the 47th Mercosur Summit
I challenge anyone to list 47 serious achievements of MercoSur.
well?
No, that does not include $100s of thousands, (millions?), spent on hotels, spas/saunas, hookers, cocaine, back-handers and private jets.
.
What has MercoSur actually achieved in 47 summits that benefits the co-signatories of the original TRADE arrangement, not the political talking-shop it has become?
The only true beneficiaries are Swiss bankers and various dubious institutions in 'off-shore' funds.
The most recent 'member', Venenezuela, has US25 Billion in missing Public money...
Is MercorSur discussing this?
No, thought not...
hmmmm.....
Must be those bloody Stealth Penguins again, or the Evil Empire that Venezuela just can't stop doing business with...
umm....
@1. I did think of that. 47 'Summits' in 23 years. The funny thing was that, while I was trying to find out what a 'Mercosur Summit' does or has achieved, I found innumerable references to other 'summits' that are mounted in latam. Curiously, they don't all, or always, attend. How come there's a 'summit' that is so unimportant that you don't bother? Incidentally, the only thing I found was at the 42nd Mercosur 'summit' where there was a draft resolution barring Falklands-flagged vessels from all regional ports. I don't think we'd want to count that as an 'achievement'.
Forced to assume that these summits are jollies. And a chance for Timerman to open his gob!
“Argentina President Cristina Fernandez arrived in Parana late Tuesday evening, after swearing in Oscar Parrilli as the new head of the Secretary of Intelligence at the Pink House in Buenos Aires.”
Besides the obvious oxymoron reference, WTF is this deadbeat supposed to do?
LOOK for signs of intelligence in the present government?
Look for the U$D billions missing from the government accounts?
I know! He will be claiming the ‘Malvinas’ are argie because he has new, secret information that proves it to be so. He’s just putting the finishing touches to the 1833 document that proves it.
Thank you President Barack Obama and Pope Francis, for your leadership. All countries of America (from Alaska to Tierra del fuego), appreciated and will recognize his leadership forever.
Today December 17 is a day that will live forever in the memory of Latin Americans.
Beyond, that many of us in Latin America not share the Cuban ideology, Cuba is an American country and should return to their roots, along with the rest of the countries of America, beyond ideologies, sitting at a table where all the American countries put forward their opinion.
Now the challenge is to the Cubans themselves, hope in a future free elections and multiparty. Cuba should relax its political system towards new horizons, more democratic and flexible. The countries of Latin America has a fundamental role in this last item.
NOW THE ONLY DISPUTE WHICH STANDS IS THE MATTER FALKLANDS / MALVINAS. THE UNITED KINGDOM MUST HAVE THE GREATNESS TO START A DIALOGUE, ONLY THAT, DIALOGUE, NOTHING MORE.
A NEW AMERICA IS EMERGING FROM ALASKA TO TIERRA DEL FUEGO, LONDON TO GIVE ACCOUNT OF THAT.
OTHERWISE, THE BRITISH ISLANDERS WILL BE THE ONLY PEOPLE IN ALL OUR GREAT AMERICA, ISOLATED WITHOUT BEING ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS OF OUR LIFE AS AMERICANS
NOW AT THE MEETING OF MERCOSUR, HERE IN ARGENTINA, ALL COUNTRIES OF THE REGION (INCLUDING CHILE) ARE EXPRESSING, JUST RIGHT NOW, THE UNRESTRICTED SUPPORT FOR THE QUESTION MALVINAS AND VULTURES FUNDS TO ARGENTINA.
FALKLANDS / MALVINAS, FROM TODAY AND LAST GREAT CAUSE OF AMERICA, WE LOVE YOU AND WISH YOU AT HOME, BEAUTIFUL, RADIANT AND VIBRANT AS YOU WENT SOMETIME.
05@ grow up.
.................
Mercosur
it will probably start with the wine,
and end with the thanksgiving of the Falkland's,
more total rubbish and a waste of taxpayers money,
to be perfectly honest im greatly surprised they have not had a great Falkland summit.
