To be fair, he hasn't been as greedy as most Bolivarian Presidents. Then again, it is Bolivia - the poorest SoAm country - so proportionally it could be much the same.

It is not a lot of money at all. Is this his declared wealth?

$500,000 is the typical value of an upper middle class hoe in the USA. And in urban areas like Boston, that is not that much at all.

    TWIMC
“President Morales' liquid assets rose 12.67 percent in two years,” the local Pagina Siete newspaper and Anglo MercoPress newsagency reported...”

    I say...:
If he had invested his Bolivianos (BOB's) on State Guaranteed, privately insured & virtually risk free Bolivian Certificates of Deposit (CD's) of any of the many commercial banks in Bolivia... he would have got around 10.50 percent after two years...

He got whole 12.67 percent in two years...

    Capitalistic vago malentretenido...!
Wait till Fidel and Pepe hear about this...
Se me vá a la cama sin postre..., se me vá :-)))

Only USD 437 thousand ?? Did the price of cocaine hit the bottom, same as many other commodities ??
Maybe he should speak to Lula ...in 8 years the scumbag managed to amass USD 2 billion, increasing his personal assets by 13,000 times....99% of which in tax-havens and in the names of relatives. After all, he had to get 'something' out of all the recent corruption scandals.....or did only the people he appointed to top public posts become rich ??
