What's the betting the show will include a frank assessment of what Mr Clarkson thinks of Argentina right at the end.
Hope Trolly dolly has her pen and ink ready.

Top Gear has been entered into the Guinness Book of Records as the TV show with the most viewers worldwide, some of its episodes having been aired in over 200 countries and territories.

So this will show the true thuggery of Argentina towards peaceful people, to the whole world.

Notice how they have quietly dropped the complaint that the other two cars reg numberes refered to the number killed during the Armed conflict in the Falklands. Possibly because the numbers weren't even close.

No harm in reminding argies that they invaded a peaceful country, started a war, lost it, got kicked off, enhanced the reputation of Britain's armed forces, provided massive PR for the Falkland Islands and ensured that Britain will ALWAYS defend them to whatever extent is necessary.

And the lack of intelligence of argies is demonstrated yet again. 'Veterans' in their 20s? We've spent more than 180 years proving that the Islands don't belong to argieland and do belong to the Islanders. We've been partially successful in that nutjobs no longer present spurious 'evidence'. Reduced to the level of “They're ours, because we wants them. Precious”. Even given them a different name so that they can believe in them!

Wouldn't you think the argies would be pleased? British civilisation, democracy, culture only a few hundred miles away. Something to aspire to with a working example to copy. And the 'frisson' of believing that it might be a pirate stronghold. Could it be a 'danger'? It must say something that argieland is scared of 1200 British troops, 4 aircraft and a warship. Gives some credence to the idea that 1 Brit is worth at least 77 argies.

At least WE can all feel safe. Did argieland think we would be frightened if they sent someone called Castro? But she's funny. Slightly annoying but funny. Gives the opportunity for thousands of people to contact the BBC to complain that uneducated, psychotic people are being allowed to complain. Demands that the BBC maintains its standards. Shouldn't it be worldwide? Dirtbags don't get to complain. “he recalled memories of the war and made insulting statements against the Government of Argentina and its people.” I don't understand. How is it possible to insult the Government of argieland and its people? Genocidal, bestial, warmongering, larcenous, mendacious, deviant, degenerate. Where's the insult? Do argies have some problem with accuracy? Jeremy frequently voices what the British people really think!

The Argentine government set their thugs onto the TG team hoping to make political gain but this will go down as one of the worst political own-goals in history. This will prove magnificent publicity for the Falkland Islanders as no one in the 'sane world' would wish them to be governed by such an incompetent, politically and morally bankrupt country.

It made me smile and it raises viewing numbers for the programme, I will watch it as I visit and stay in the same Hotel he stopped in whist in Ushuaia. His controversial antics are now renown and what else did you expect form our infamous petrol head presenter. Having said that, you can walk the streets in perfect safety and thousands of Brits do ever year in Ushuaia as they visit the awesome area of Patagonia. Lets hope though programs of this calibre does not jeopardize that safety. . Some of us have to work there either on ships or in other capacities and even wearing a union jack have never come across any hostile all credit to the locals whom I have found to be exceptionally welcoming it’s the politicians that need this issue to fall back on when times are tough as a distraction to their own failings on both sides of the pond.

@22 “To educated Argentinos, these punks are trash from the villas, barely human.” Yes, I have heard Argentines talk about the millions of Argentines living in Villas in that way. It is probably why no real effort is made to get them out of grinding poverty. CFK gives them a few freebies in return for their votes and the villas continue to grow.

What he is saying Pablo retard, is that he feels like an Islander, he feels that the Islands are his and his family's home and that they feel independent and different to the UK. He loves Argentina as a country and enjoys himself there, and in a typically British way, so as not to offend his hosts, he is very restrained about how Argentina treats the Islanders, but makes it clear that they want independence, they do not want to be part of Argentina.

Unlike the Argentinian Government, he is not going to shot himself in the foot by being unnecessarily provocative when he lives in Argentina and has to work with the people who will undoubtably read this article.

So what my dear little boy he is saying between the lines is 'Thanks, but no thanks. We will stick with what we have until something better comes along'
    In other words SELF DETERMINATION.

@24, 32, 34, 43, 47, 51. I wonder at how you get to use the term 'hillbillies' and then refer to someone as a retard. Hillbilly is a term (often derogatory) for people who dwell in rural, mountainous areas in the United States, primarily in Appalachia, but also parts of the Ozarks. How would you get to call Brits hillbillies, thicko? I do have other things to do, so I'm recording the programmes. It's not so much for the cars or the scenery, it's the opportunity to watch argies at their cultural height.
You should try to get up to date with British sports. Fox-hunting is now done by laying a scent trail. We let argies in so that we can get the very latest on fouling and cheating in soccer. Bear-baiting has been replaced by argie-baiting. Work is being done so that we can introduce argiefighting. The problem is bringing together 'argie' and 'fighting' in a believable way.
Where do you get this idea about 'a sensitive, intelligent islander'? Shouldn't that be 'isleter'? Seems he's been off the British Islands for 30 years. So what would he know? And he sounds pretty much like a TRAITOR to me. The picture seems to suggest that he lives in one of those jerry-built blocks of flats. With your inflation, he probably can't afford more. Wouldn't you think the argie government could pay him more? Still, the article shows no sign of ever having been in his native language. So it's just the picture and the 'reporter' makes up the rest. The article is dotted with things that only an argie would say. Referring to 1833 as 'the first invasion'. Or to Stanley as 'Puerto Argentino'. If argieland were invaded and occupied, how long would it take decent Argentines to get used to calling that town Thatcher City? You numpties must try harder with your propaganda.
You're a very ugly little thing in all ways. Do hope you meet a 12 metre wave. Seems that, as of 2011, there were only 823 real people in punta del diablo. Don't forget to pay your bill!

Why would anyone want to visit Argentina now? Nice bit of friendship and reconciliation by the Top Gear team rebuffed by mindless Argentinean thugs.

I watched both episodes of the program and loved every minute until they reached Argentina and it was pretty obvious even by the most uneducated what potentially was about to happen, some of the comments made by Clarkson, it was a set up and what did they expect? Exactly, as it panned out! I can not wait until the BBC allow him to do a program in Ireland with a Black and Tan reference on his car whilst burning up the rubber around the countryside near Dublin, or better still if its in Syria, or Iraq or any number of Middle East countries. No respect for the environment, no respect for the traffic laws, no respect for the dead, on either side. The Argentinean Authorities should have known better as should the British Foreign Office, as advice must have been taken? Usually the BBC abeit they do make some cracking mistakes now and then , anywhere else in South America, including Argentina would have taken their antics except Ushuaia the most sensitive area, which suffered the most horrendous death toll during that event so many years ago. It’s difficult enough for the city to cope with the devastating loss of life, where until recent times most had lost a father, son, grandson, brother, uncle or a school mate as most sailors were recruited from that tiniest of places. I am sure that the program makers were also unaware that prior to the decommissioning HMS Endurance it was involved with a joint memorial service, in Ushuaia. It can be difficult, and yes tensions do rise from time to time. Just imagine what the program could have done if it had genuninely wanted to. I am sure the producers and the crew got pretty well got the result they misguidedly were looking for? Here in the UK after the laughs lots were left scratching their heads.

I just watched Part2, the behaviour of the rock throwers and standover men in Ushuaia was an absolute disgrace; you have to wonder if Argentina is a country or a failed state! I question the quality of the decision making on the part of the Argentine police, making Clarkson and the team leave in the darkness, run the gauntlet of rock throwers and then the dangerous river crossing into Chile was fraught with danger and they were lucky that nobody was seriously injured.

Well the world has now seen both sides of Argentina. Beautiful countryside, but inhabited by some very nasty people. They don’t deserve to live in a place like that.

The world was watching gauchos and is not impressed. You started the Falkland’s war and you lost the Falklands war, GET OVER IT!

Just finished watching the second part.

The shit-kickers of Ushuaia deserve to be without sewage pumps for two years while the local government argues with the state as to who pays the cost of repairs; it does after all suit them down to the ground.

What a dump the place is, WTF do ships bother calling into a cowtown like that when the Falklands only a few hundred miles away and has normal, socially responsible people?

I thought the BBC were overly lenient with their coverage and I cannot see why any tourists want to visit a country where the authorities collude with criminal gangs to terrorise peaceful visitors.

Toby, Keeping 1000 EU/UK/USA tourists out of Argentina for a season means 100 Rgs in Hotel/high end Restaurant/Tourism lose their jobs.

My guess is the 10 days of garbage sitting on the streets of BA is doing that just fine though. Hard to see that BA is a world class city with mounds of garbage everywhere during the height of tourist season.

Paul, you'd be hard pressed to find a city on the Arg side in Patagonia that is as pretty as Frutillar in Chile . The biggest problem with natural scenery in Argentina is the graffitti. I don't know what is wrong with Rg that they want to ruin their gorgeous natural monuments and vistas with Graffiti and why oh why doesn't the gov't remove it. It shows how disrespectful and out of control the people are there.

    I have to laugh.
I am currently in San Francisco California USA.
Spent a lovely day yesterday, in Wine Country to the East, Shanendoah Valley.
Napa tomorrow, I expect, or perhaps just some seafood in Sauselito and some dinner wines.
They have huge “warehouse” wine stores here - wines of all varieties from around the world - even Malbecs!
“ we have quite a few Malbecs. Lots of people read about it and buy a bottle or two because of price, but never twice, why would they??
Look at the Pinots, and the local Merlots.”
In the same breath, “Chile has a big section. They make great wines.”

US -type Americans have a huge variety available to them, at great prices - they can afford to be discerning.
That being said, their local red wines are top notch, and their sparkling Champagne-clone wines are seen as a threat by the French wine industry - lawsuits pending!!

Chandon have their own vineyard and facility in South Napa Valley.

Some of the Barbera Reds in the drier eastern vineyards are a acidic for my taste, but the very rich soils of the area around Lodi, are still producing truly wonderful examples of the older varieties like Grenache.

Add to this, the friendliness of the people, we enjoy travelling and staying in the US.
Yesterday, we were at a free tasting. I was chatting with the granddaughter of the owner. As web were the last people there, they kept opening more bottles to try - finally sending us on our way with several bottles of wine and Port.

    I was very impressed.

Before Pablo and Snotty say anything, they knew that some of us were from Canada, and some had sort of chocolatey brown skin - nobody refused to serve us because some might be “Bolivian” or some other “lesser ethnicity”.

Pablo - I haven't spotted a single Motochorro in the past week!!

The shopping mall and restaurants are FULL - luxury watches are flying off the shelves by eager buyers!!

Nobody thinks of Argentina when they go for a nice steak here, but BBQ is a speciality!!

Yes, it is, and I'm laying it on a bit for him, but still no reaction from
    him.

I know that I am more fortunate than some, and less so than many others.

The point being - travel is something that is affordable to many in this part of the world.

It is safe, and the people are friendly.

Pablo the Peronist Stooge ( though he doesn't see it), wants himself and others to believe that Argentina is the most enlightened place on Earth and the USA, Canada, UK, and the rest of the West are not cosmopolitan, and bereft of culture.
He claims to have travelled to Europe and “all the places worth visiting” once.

So much is wrong with that statement!

Funny how he decided what was “worth visiting” before he got there, and now he still adheres to it.
What about the rest of the world?? - sure, probably not “worth” exploring.

Talk about ethnocentric - that's our Pablo!

Unlike him, and what he doesn't realise, is that what we can't experience at home, we will actively seek out in our travels, happy to explore and try new things.

Pablo by contrast, has retreated to home, never to leave again, by his own account.
“Patriotism” or ' not wanting to see'?

As a result, Pablo Peronist Prostituto seems to persist under the belief that things CANNOT be different or better, elsewhere, despite what he saw with his own eyes.

    Pablo,
-There are NO Motochorros in North America, Oz, UK, or the other civilised cities of the world.
-People of all races can travel freely and enjoy the same benefits.
-The media is not controlled, and is free to criticise the government and politicians, without being accused of treason.
    - Laws are enforced by well-paid police that do not need or expect to take bribes.
    - Most children complete High School - a large percentage continue to post secondary ( and complete it)
    - Where there is Socialised Medicine, the facilities are clean, the MRI's and CT's work properly, and drugs are available...

    surfing the internet and sheepshagging?
    yuck
    ignorant isleters.”

    And:

    “ the voice of ignorance
the only “school” you have there is that community school.
and taking in account your posts / general knowledge, it is a piece of crap.”

Because a school is remote doesn’t mean that it can’t produce quality educational outcomes, effective learning depends on a number of factors, one being the aptitude of the students and their willingness to learn. But I am sure that the eloquent, well educated, knowledgeable fellow that you claim to be knows that!

But alas it appears that your ego is cashing cheques that your capabilities can’t meet. One only has to compare your performance to the work of posters who identify as being from the Falklands to see whose work is ‘a piece of crap’ as you so eloquently put it. Did they teach you to write like that at school in Argentina?

Besides being poorly written your work is a confusing mixture of personal insults, prejudice and hate. You can’t even manage to come up with your
own ideas or even some original insults, but instead you just regurgitate the same old tired propaganda and lies that we get from you and your ilk. And you hold yourself up as an example of as well educated, thoughtful person?

If you are a typical product of the Argentine education system, it is no wonder that the country is in such an appalling mess.

113 - A state school is a community school you dumbass, as they are funded by the local community, whos children attend them, from the taxes the local tax payer pays to the government or to the local council that is in charge of local education.

Oh no, we only have one secondary school. We should immediately build another 30. That way every pupil gets a classroom to himself. Instead of slagging off our education why don't you spend half an hour educating yourself about the Falklands. That's all it would take to find out how idiotic your statements are.

@120 Have you visited the school on the Falkland Island? No? Just uninformed nonsense you specialise in. I have visited a number of state schools in Buenos Aires. They were absolutely appalling; dirty, broken equipment, graffiti, lack of basics and qualified teaching staff. One was so bad I wouldn't have left a stray dog there let alone a child.

    The Argentine education system “

”The study of these texts (HN:geography books), with their unfounded myths, their extreme dogmatism, their lack of intellectual rigor and their sometimes fantastic exaltation of everything Argentine, led me to undertake a new stage of this research: the question of why such an education strategy --which appears to be so disfunctional for the development of a modern society-- had been perceived necessary. ”

Sounds like the kind of place that couldn't keep their scanners running.

guess you have to teach the rest of the imbeciles of this 4th class site how to be, at least, funny.

nobody expects that any of these benny-hill-billies could be intelligent, well educated, sagacious, perceptive or sensitive.

but at least these morons should make an effort not to be so boring.

Am dyslexic you retard - Therefore i make simple mistakes like that. If you had any form of intelligence you would have spotted i am dyslexic from my spelling and grammatical errors and not highlighted and would have hit back with a more constructive response to my post. But hey your a retard, so i expect nothing better from an uneducated self important, obsessive and delusional delinquent!

As for never attending school - Right, thats why i have 10 gcse's A-C grade, a degree in business and retail management (BSc) and my own successful company that is the second one (first was also successful) that i have built from the ground up and ran from scratch after selling my first company. Now Paulcedron, who are you exactly as clearly you are the Boludo (stupid) one!!

By the way - Its not “you mean THEIR school days?”

Its “You mean ”THEIR“ school days!”

Its not “And we're talking about your 1st language here...My god!”

And its not “It seems you can't dream about them because you have never attended any school!”

Even in Spainish they use capitals and punctuation!!
