No inputs that make up the production costs are pegged to the dollar, so why pegging the final price of beef to the dollar?
The dollar should only serve as a parameter when the beef is sold to markets in North America and Europe. However, I find it hard that we get some beef to sell them because they are extremely protectionist.
If Paraguay wants to be a global player in the beef market, it should start to look for alternatives to the dollar.

We must calculate our costs in rubles and convert them into yuan. Trade with the countries of the third world should always be done taking into account local currencies, never the dollar or euro.

Amusing - happy to sell their beef to Russia in 2014, but now they can't afford it we will sell to wealthier countries who can afford it and Russia can look elsewhere for meat they can afford.

I hope Russia wasn't relying on South America to get them through the hard times ahead.

I'm hoping Paraguay isn't relying on Venezuela- I would be very worried about getting paid at this point, crashing economy and all.

    Here is wishing Paraguay well!
Meanwhile, listen to jealous Brasso - not wanting them to succeed.

    And more from Brassiere @1

“We must calculate our costs in rubles and convert them into yuan. Trade with the countries of the third world should always be done taking into account local currencies, never the dollar or euro.”

    There's a good chuckle,
who would pin their currency exchange to currencies that are devaluing and falling into the toilet, like the Ruble??

Other “local currencies”, Brasso??? Do you mean like Venezuela with 63% inflation, or Argentina who have 30% inflation and Defaulted on foreign debts?
Both of these local Currencies are due for a major devaluation!

Why should Paraguay allow themselves to be dragged down with them??

Is that LATAM solidarity - everyone sinks to lowest common denominator???

I guess that's the real reason we have Mercosur, right??

    ;-D

Brasileiro you have no concept of the free market if Russia can afford to eat beef then they will eat fish or chicken if they can eat chicken the they will eat bears if there is any left there ,this is how the free market works do you think the people in Paraguay all of them drive Mercedes Benz noooo they only drive what they can afford or no car at all, having and idiot as president like Dilemma or Dilma that control prices and push for everybody to drive Mercedez on the back of those who work and are productive F. U .C. K all the Bolivarians.
maybe the alternative to the dollar is the REAL the most underperformed currency in Latin America you can only trust currency of countries that are serious and that does not include Brazil.

    4 Cornelius

They all have to learn to live within their means.

You are right, this is something Brass has no concept of.

He is consistently the stupidest, most anti- US Troll on this site.

NO understanding of how economies work.

He has shown himself to be Argentine, anyway - no surprise.

Did you notice that the other Hitler Youth, Argie teen posters seem to have “holidays” right now - time off from their non- jobs!

Free market? Where? In the West?

There is no free market in dollar dominance and economic sanctions!

Do you're thinking that here is one house located on 5th Avenue?

His world, his laws, his will and his thoughts are degrading and out of context for me. And for everyone who wants to be free!
The fools who has ant vision, elephant hunger and equine intelligence think that the truth belongs to them.
Market corrupt and poorly regulated is pure speculation. This is what you call a free market.

Please, Brazil is not part of YOUR market. Do you not realize that?

    Latin America? What is that?

    6 Brassiere

“Please, Brazil is not part of YOUR market. Do you not realize that?”

    Brassiere,
Please tell me who has an exclusive market to BRAZIL, and why??

    WE get it.

    I'll give you a hint.
BRAZIL wants as much trade as they can get with the EU, USA, and the rest of the world for their export products.

EU wants this too, but jealous Aryentina wants to stop that, using MercOsur .

    back on topic:

Why would Paraguay tie themselves to rapidly devaluing “local currencies” when they would get less and less return for their goods???

It would only help the failed states, Aryentina and VeneCuba.

Brassiere - jealous angry stupid boy!!!

@1. Please try to grow up. Then you can stop wasting our time with your drivel. Do try to explain how it will help to calculate costs in one useless currency, exchange it into another useless currency and then try to get it into something that can be spent? 1 ruble = 0.1 yuan. 1 yuan = 0.16 dollar. 1 ruble = 0.017 dollar. It's a currency scam. But without taking into account transactiuon fees.
@6. Please tell us who you're going to sell your crap to? Here's a clue. In the job I had before I retired we spent a lot of time throwing Brazilian meat in a bin for destruction. What have you got that the people with money want? And you support argieland. So we hate you as much as we hate it. You have so much to fear!

Happy New Year to all. Forget it guys.....you would have more success explaining free markets to a tree than Brasshole. He's never seen the real world....he's only been explained the one he was indoctrinated for. Just wait until Russia collapses in it's current impression of the former USSR. China is running quicktime to catch up to Russia. The two will be dropping SA faster than white on rice.
