As of January first Venezuela is holding a non-permanent seat at the UN Security Council for two years (2015-2016). In such position, the government will have to take a stance on global issues, based on its “multi-center, pluri-polar world” approach. Read full article

A fatter version of Mussolini at the UN, demanding respect.

    Practice what you preach.

As the Russians who had a working brain used to say about their “Leader”:

“Out with the old regime, in with the new, still the same old mad commie bastards”

    So what has changed?

Instead of making complete arses of themselves at the UN perhaps Venezuala might try sorting out it's dire domestic problems

    Replacing one nut for another.
    I doubt anyone will notice.

I wish the USA would pull the UN funding.

According to the articles that haven't been published, argieland accomplished exactly nothing whilst on the Security Council. What does MADurine's moron think he's going to accomplish with their 'multi-centre, pluri-polar' approach? What's multi-centre, pluri-polar when it's at home? Sounds like confused divisiveness to me. Multi-centre? Nobody will know where anything is! 'And next week's General Assembly meeting will be in.......... (Rank preferences in order). Pluri-polar? Can you have more than two? Or are they poles from Poland? On benefits. Why do prats like these have to concoct such polysyllabic, hyphenated nonsense. Language is supposed to be for communication. Where's the communication in this? If we switched around and said pluri-centre and multi-polar would it make any difference? The best we can say is that the venezuelan governments have conclusively proved that they are totally incapable of running a country or an economy. And now they get a chance to screw up the entire world? There should be a list so that the ballot papers can be marked “Doesn't matter how many vote for this. It will be disqualified”.

As a thought, are these venezuelans being strip-searched as they leave the chamber. Just to make sure that they don't take “takes its seat” literally. Wouldn't want it to turn up on eBay!

“Under Chávez's Bolivarian vision we will accomplish our task of defending the right to peace and sovereignty of the peoples of the world,“

    But not the Falkland Islanders.

Chavez did say he would support Argentina with military kit. Better send the Sukhois down to those Southern airbases and launch a raid then, would be a pity if that led to the said airbases receiving visits from Storm Shadow or a few cruise missiles dropped in to say hi.

”Since it strongly advocates a multi-polar world, Venezuela's agenda at home and abroad targets decolonization, including Las Malvinas (Falkland Islands) and Puerto Rico, the Sahrawi people's independence; and the acknowledgment of the Palestine State.

Should that not read a mono- polar world?

“They” Bang on about Declolonization/Independence for Puerto Rico.

However they completely ignore the democrativc will of the People of Puerto Rico.

Full Details of the 2012 Referendum, I will highlight it for you:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puerto_Rican_status_referendum,_2012

Should Puerto Rico continue its current territorial status?
    YES 56%
    NO 44%
So an awful lot want the stutus quo.

So lets look at those who want change:
Which non-territorial option do you prefer?
    US Statehood 61.16%
    Free Association 33.34%
    Independence 5.49%

So only some 4% of those who voted want Independence from the US.

Yet from the speaches the usual suspects give, you'd think PR was desperate for Independence.

They don't like the result of the vote, so just ignore THE TRUTH.

Now where has this happened in 2013, some countries cannot handle the truth.

If it were up to the people of the USA they would dump PR. We fought for and paid with cash the independence of PR just as with Cuba....something Latam world seems to forget. I say fuck PR and the rest of the failed Latam empire.

Venezuela takes its seat at the UN Security Council

Now we know why the UN is finished, totally brainwashed,
apparently Somalia , north Korea , Aden , afghan , Pakistan , and Cuba amongst others are on the list to get a top job.

I read this morning that Mr. Maduro is out and about visiting countries begging for help.

Venezuela's oil values are now HALF of what they had been previously, and he obviously has no clue, and no plan. Russia is having it's own money problems, so not much help there. Any charity money donated by China will evaporate in a cloud of cheap Cacique 500.

    “ It's all the Gringo's fault: With your help I'm gonna . . . ” ? Gonna do what ?

A true example of failed leadership, ready to step up to the podium of the UN Security Council, with eager and enthusiastic audience of 3.

The UN has long stopped being representative of what matters in the world, to become a forum for crappy 3rd world dictators to vent their frustrations due to their own incompetence. Time the US told the UN to get stuffed and kicked them out...maybe the 3rd world, that think it's so wonderful, could take it to Cuba...an appropriate setting for failed States.
