The Argentine ministries of Foreign Affairs, and Agriculture and Fisheries are considering the consequences of a complaint filed in recent days by a top official from a local company (Empresa Pesquera de la Patagonia y Antártica S.A., Pesantar) warning that the vessel “Union Sur” had fished in Falkland Islands last November. If the Argentine's prosecute the Japanese and the Japanese win an appeal in a higher international court it would blow the Great Malvinas Lie into little pieces.

Jan 06th, 2015 - 11:30 am - Link - Report abuse 0I have no doubt that what you have written is the case.
However, the 'problem' is the stupid actions by the peronistas and TMBOA in particular who have decided that any entity who fishes Argentine waters CANNOT fish in Falklands waters.
Given the poor fishing in Argentine waters, if push comes to shove I would imagine the Japanese company with tell TMBOA to sling her hook (did you get that ;o) )
Toys out of the pram again by the looks of it!
It looks like the bitter action of an ex-employee; I wonder why he never said anything earlier?
”If the information proves to be correct, the Japanese group would have violated Argentina's Federal Fisheries Act, which specifically bans fishing companies and groups from operating in Argentina and Falkland Islands simultaneously. (FIS).
Jan 06th, 2015 - 05:24 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Everything but take their case to the ICJ and without the guts to talk to the Falkland Islanders. Pathetic.

This is why everytime Argentina issues an ultimatum, it is their economy that suffers and trading partners go elsewhere.
If the Islanders were as stupid as Argentina they would prevent any firm that did business with Argentina from trading.
Luckily the Islanders 'mind their own business' whilst Argentina doesn't.
Daniel Filmus, Argentine Secretary for Malvinas Islands Affairs.”
How many times has he visited the Falkland Islands again?
I told The Sistahs long ago if Argentina makes a company, country etc choose between doing business with Argentina or the Falklands they will always choose the Falklands.
Jan 06th, 2015 - 10:50 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Its really a no brainer.
Except for Rgs I guess...
If Argentina is looking to make friends for their Malvinas claim around the world, they are going about in a bad, bad way.
Jan 07th, 2015 - 05:33 am - Link - Report abuse 0I'm sure the Japanese ambassador was delighted at having to spend an afternoon listening to this crap...
Let me see if I have got this right:
Jan 07th, 2015 - 02:30 pm - Link - Report abuse 0A Japanese vessel has been fishing in Falkland Islands last November ... and the Argentine government involves the Japanese ambassador ?
I know of a French tourist who did not like Argentinian Malbec wine. Time to summon the Norwegian ambassador to a serious talk in the Argentine foreign ministry. There was also this Norwegian chap who said that the Rio de la Plata is dirty ...
Ahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...LMAO.....Gotta hand it to these whining Argies...Gotta admit that when I need a laugh THEY will provide it....Booo hoo...!!
